4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, USA - OCT 15, 2002
Cloudy amber color with a light tan head that produces a small amount of lace. Aroma of dry honey. This one really needs some warmth before it should be sampled! When cold it tastes like a malt liquor with caramel malt added to the grain bill. Aromas, sweetness, flavors, and finish come out as it warms. Aroma of of stewed apricots in a light brandy. Flavors of pineapple, kiwis and strawberries. It poured thick and seems to thicken as it warms. Towards the end of the bottle I am starting to get some white yeast floaties. Alcohol comes to the front in the finish, but exits to a pleasent light toasted almond and pecan pie linger. Alot of carbonation in this one - I find myself belching after every few quaffs. The burps are even good, with a touch of flowers and vanilla. I didn’t have the courage to ask the wife if she though they smelled the same. Once again I have to say I enjoy big bottles in a good beer as the beer changes from start to finish - cold to warm. Serve this with some asiago cheese and you’ll have a hit at your next beer tasting.

25 cl. bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours reddish brown with a thin white head. A little unfocused on the nose - somewhat metallic. In the mouth dried apricots, some spice and nuttiness. Very nice velvety mouthfeel. Overall a good but somewhat conservative beer.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 alalvarez75 (53) - New York, USA - MAY 16, 2012
Pours medium brown with a thin head. Apricot smell with a taste of sweet nut and banana. Light and crisp, but apparently high alcohol. I can't taste it. Italy doing it up.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 8, 2012
Sampled from a 0.25l bottle @ Beer Enthusiast release party. Pours a dark honey-amber colored body with a small sidesticking off-white head. It has a light sweet malty aroma, some yeasty tones, a little bit of cardboard, almonds and banana sweetness. The texture and mouthfeel is soft oily and it has a average carbonation level. Flavors are light sweet-ish, malty with traces of candy sugar, almonds and ripe berries. Also some hints of alcohol and it’s leaving my mouth light dry. Yeah, quite a tasty one. 23.04.2012
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Foffern (272) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 7, 2012
Bottle sample at Beer Enthusiast release tasting, Bergen. A dark amber beer with a slightly off-white head. Aroma with a lot malt with leather, dried fruit, brown sugar, corn, caramel, and alcohol. Reminds me of a barley wine. The taste is dominated by sweet malt, wood and leather, brown sugar, spices. Bitterness: light+. A real belgian dark strong ale.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Benjii (2328) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 5, 2012
25cl bottle from Le Langhe, York. Pours a copper colour with a fair white head. A lovely fruity yeast aroma with apricot, ginger bread men, treacle and alcohol. Similar flavours with very well balanced alcohol given the abv. This is scarily drinkable. Moderate carbonation and a chewy mouth-feel. Very nice.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Kosmokrator (48) - Legnano, ITALY - MAY 2, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2012 In bottiglia.

Bottle: pours amber orange with a fizzy head that quickly disappears, sour aroma, taste is sweet, with a bit of a fizzy feel on the tongue. Not bad but not overly interesting either.

Hazy copper-brown color in the glass. Fruity (pineapple?) aroma with a touch of some funky, sour notes. Slight sweetness on the palate. Fine carbonation.
