More bright and hoppy rendition of a Belgian sour. Skyview (2641), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 26, 2008 Sampled at BDR’s tasting and shared by BDR, formerly brewfiend. Pours a semi-hazy light orange amber brew with plenty of particles and a thick white head that slowly dissipates to a thin white head and some sticky lacing. Aroma of light white bread and multi-grain wheat malt, some yeast, apricots, a touch of peach and some white wine. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors or apricots, white bready malt, some grassy hops and a touch of herbal spice. Finish is semi-dry with a little spice bite that slowly disappears after the finish. BlackDonald (696), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA May 11, 2008 This particular beer did not really wow me until we paired it with food, then it really came out of its shell, but as a stand alone beer it is a little weak. Very dry on the palate, almost like a german yeast strain was used, this has some spicy tanginess, some light wheaty characteristics, a bit of ambrosia and fruitcake. Not bad, but not worth $11.99 JK (2355), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Apr 27, 2008 Malt and fruit aroma. The flavor has wheat, yeast, some brett character and an herbal quality, but no sourness really. Cloudy orange appearance. Sweet, good but not extraordinary.
