Bottle from A Tutta Birra, Milan. These guys surely produce some of the best looking bottles out there. Poured a murky straw colour with a big ol’ rocky white head and some lacing. Herby, fragrant peppery aroma with notes of tropical fruit. Fullish body and mouthfeel. Flavour began on the sweetish side, but gradually dried out. Definite fragrant quality evident with notes of spice and citrus. An interesting and very drinkable saison that grew on me with each sip, and stands out from the pack like the bottle.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 yngwie (8717) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 1, 2011
Bottle, 75cl, courtesy of KimJohansen. A clear, golden beer with a dense, off-white head. The aroma has a lovely herbal peppery touch, with fruityness and some pale malts. Some tropical fruits in syrup. It’s sweet at first, but dries up after a little while, tropical fruits and some sugary maltyness. The peppery touch from the aroma isn’t much evident in the flavor. Slightly warming, full body. Tropical fruits and pepper in the finish. A bit low on bitterness maybe. A nice one indeed, but the pepper should be more evident in the flavor. 100814

delicioso aroma, realmente lembra o campo, toques vinho branco, espumante, golden ale, dulçor delicioso, frutado, puxando pra maçã, vale a pena o valor... apesar de não ser algo totalmente diferente do que já tinha provado, muito alta qualidade
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 dingol66 (37) - Brescia, ITALY - DEC 12, 2010
Assaggiata in bottiglia da 75 cl.
Aspetto dorato e opaco, la schiuma però svanisce subito. Buon aroma leggermente speziato. Al palato denota un buon corpo e si sente bene il malto. Un buon finale amarognolo, delicato e molto prolungato.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Powertrip (758) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 23, 2010
Colour: Cloudy and swirly yellow. Nose: rich, grainy, sugared pastries, baked caramlized carrots, barnyard. Taste: Powedered sugar, deeply ripe barley, sticky brown rice, asparagus, slight bitter trace late. Palate creamy and slightly thick. Very very rich beer with lots of personality

750 ml bottle from Wine and Cheese Place. Pours a mostly clear amber with a thin eggshell white head that leaves a little foam on top all the way down. Aroma of apples, nutmeg, pepper, farmhouse funk, yeast, floral hops, and cinnamon. Flavor mostly follows suit, with some tart grapes and the apples seem more overripe in the mouth than in the nose; the aroma also pops a bit more with the variety of spices. Light-medium bodied, with a spicy, funky mouthfeel and sharp carbonation. Goes down really easily. This is a great saison, and deserves more credit.
