piscator34 (942), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Jul 12, 2008 Bottled sample. Golden in colour with moderate spritzy carbonation. The aroma is a mix of apple juice with a bit of orange, which wasn’t so appealing. However, the flavor was much better with elements of pale malt, fruity Belgian yeast, violets, toasted marshmallow, orange, grasses, and some earthy herbs. Just off dry in the mouth. It’s a shame about the off-nose, as it was pretty good otherwise.
Maverick34 (483), New York, USA Aug 30, 2008 Big ol’ bouteille. Furit citrus yeast with large head that diminishes as the bottle sits there. Light, fruity, spicy and delicious. mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 6, 2008 [1384-20080524] 1pt9.4floz bottle. Initially a nice light fruity citrus yeast aroma, after swirling produces some notes of oil paints. Lightly hazy, yellow brown body with a medium-lasting creamy white head and lots of big floaties. Fruity yeast flavour has a bit of light Belgian yeast and citrus malt. Medium body has a nice sour tang. Refreshing, could be better carbonated.
(c/o biegaman, w/ others) BuckeyeBoy (1181), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 15, 2008 Bottle Pours out a cloudy gold topped with a white head. Aroma of sweet fruit and flowers. Tast very juice sweet with all kinds of sweet fruit. A little spice. A very nice brew. MakeItDrinkIt (66), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 14, 2008 Hazy golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is perfumed fruit, floral, light sweetness. Flavor is also lightly fruity, almost a touch of strawberries or raspberries, hints of honey, possibly some coriander, but very very little. An extremely well made and well balanced saison. Reminds me of fields of hay in the summer.
