4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Color coure i sense gens d’espuma. L’aroma es de malt fruital, de raim i prunes, dolses notes de fusta, xocolata i alcohol. El sabor es de suaus cireres, panses i xocolata, algunes notes torrades, caramel i pruna. Ben equilibrada i agradable. Si no avises, no sospitaran que estan prenen una cervesa, ideal copa després de un bon menjar. Espectacular!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from SB. Seems like some people have accidentally rated the Xyauyù Barrel instead of this one, but from the text it’s clear this is the one that we got. 2009 vintage. Pours hazy red with literally no head. Aroma is a sweet fruit bomb. There’s muscovado, raisins, prunes, dates, alcohol, port barrel, madeira, caramel, nuts. You know it will taste sweet the second you smell it... Taste is very sweet, surprisingly un-boozy. Lots of dried fruit, sugar. The flatness of the carbonation strikes you - it’s not there at all! Finish is long, lightly boozy and sweet. Realizing I just poured a 50 cl bottle to myself, I’m thinking this might be too much, but hey, I’m celebrating a great day, so whatever...

Bottle at CGarvie tasting (thanks Craig!). It pours deep amber-brown with a small bubbly white head. The nose is rich, oily, honey, Xmas cake, apple, dark fruit and dried berry. The taste is caramel honey, molasses, brown sugar, spice, Xmas cake, oily, sticky, light alcohol warmth and good bite to it. Full body, low carbonation and oily/viscous mouth-feel. Smooth and good depth of flavour. Nice sipper.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle (2004). Pours a elegant redbrown color with no head (looks potent). Sweet, honey-like, aroma with notes of flowers and chocolate. Taste has got the same kind of sweetness. It also has a delicious earthy, strawberry seeds kind of note. Aftertaste reminds me of a liquor filled chocolate bonbon. Incredible smooth mouthfeel. Full bodied. Very similar to a sweet polish mead actually.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 0,50L. Dark brown color, much carghed with a medium foamy head resistance. Very complex nose, notes of roast cask, resin, caramel, hop and liquor Marsala. Powerfull and overpowering acoholic body, much smooth, mellow, fraught and candy. Realy exaggerated for my mouth.
