(NOTE: This isn’t the fumè version called X-Fumè or Xyauyù Fumè) Non ne ricordavo il nome, comunque un dei migliori barley wine mai bevuti. Un whisky torbato ma più dolce che accarezza il palato anzichè aggredirlo. Semplicemente fantastico!!! Prima di acquistarlo in bottiglia passerà almeno un altro anno in botte, chissà come diventerà... Potenzialmente al livello della X-Fumè.

Probably it might deserve a higher score but this beer is actually a little bit far away from what i think a beer should be. a fancy and elegant low alcohol whisky. I OMG how good this was...

Se in anteprima sta già messa così, figuriamoci quando uscirà dalla botte cosa potrà essere. Lieto di esser stato uno dei privilegiati a poterla assaggiare, anche se solo due dita. Anche qui temperatura di servizio eccessivamente alta

25/06/2011 Open Baladin Roma (Barrique). Bevuta in anteprima in occasione dell’Open Beer Festival. Versata in teku direttamente dalla Barrique. Bellissimo color rame, con caldi riflessi arancia, intensissimo, schiuma assente. Aroma meraviglioso, malto, frutta matura, alcol, note affumicate date dalla permanenza in botte di Laphroaig. In bocca è perfetta, dolce, intensa, calda, speziata e affumicata, incredibilmente complessa, molto più bilanciata della versione X-Fumé. Consistenza oleosa, vellutata, vinosa, corpo pieno. Assolutamente spiazzante. Una birra clamorosa.
