Couleur acajou vêtu d’une timide mousse beige pale. Arômes très maltés et vineux style sherry conférant des notes d’oxydation évidente et très plaisante. Flaveurs sucrées de malt, de noix, de foin et de grain au repos à la grange, de connivence au caractère de malt authentique de plusieurs Eisbock, dopplebock. Superbe extraction de malt, corps très dense, texture collante et sirupeuse, alcool et oxydation fonctionnant bien en tandem et semblant tout à fait à leur place. Superbe ! Merci Lorenzo !

Nov 28, 2008 Bottle. Clear dark amber colour with a small white head. Rich malty aroma and taste with strong sherry-like notes. Good beer.

Nov 28, 2008 Bottle. Frothy fair mostly deminishing head. Red-amber colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Sherry-like. Moderate sweet and light bitter flavopr. Burnt almond and licorice dominating. Average finsh. Creamy palate but too alcoholic. Tastes more like mead than barleywine.

Nov 27, 2008 Bottle. Torben Matthews tasting. Medium head with medium duration. Color is ruby amber. Aroma and taste are sherry and port, sweet almond, fruits and alcohol. Vinous.

Nov 27, 2008 Bottle shared by swolf3.. The bottle was labeled 2005. Brown in color, no head. Aroama of all alcohol and raisons, and then some more alcohol... Taste was syrupy sweet and raisons/plums. Alcohol in the taste but not as much compared to the nose. The body didnt have much carbonation, which made it to be a little thicker. There are better bareywines out there in imo. I didnt even finish my glass... so I think that sums it up
