Pumpkin beer

On tap at Open Baladin. Clear deep amber beer, little white head. Sweet malt with fresh sugary fruits and a touch of cinnamon. Semi dry finish. Interesting! I think only the Italians could make a beer like this.

75cl bottle. Pours burnt orange with a medium white head. Aroma is malt and caramel, quite sweet, Some yeasty notes and spices, mostly clove. Taste is malty and buttery with a hints of pumpkin and a definite spiciness. Black pepper and clove above all. Some cinnamon too. Good carbonation, medium bodied. I hope this beer has more pumpkin to it when fresh. The spices, though, made this interesting anyways.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy opaque - murky really - orange with a small off-white head. Spicy peppery nose. Medium body, sweet caramel and spices - very interesting indeed because the pumpkin is not muddled by cinnamon making it very authentic. Subtle bitterness. Nice indeed. 251111

Bottle, 75cl. A cloudy, unclear, amber colored beer with a small, diminishing off-white head. Rather peppery nose, black pepper that is, with caramel and allspice. Some yeasty hints. Quite effervescent on the palate, full-bodied and semi-sweet. Caramel, black pepper, generic spicyness and some yeasty hints in the flavor. Some warmth and bitterness towards the end. Unusual but nice, I especially like the pepper part. 111125
