bottle@home , pours clear yellow with a nice head. If I place myself in 35 dgrs in the shade with a nice tropic view and a little bit thirsty than it is quite OK. Thatís why I rated this a little bit higher.

Itís tough to give this beer a bad rating especially since I feel I have grow to love this Aruba brew. This is a crisp clean beer that has a slightly bitter flavor. Palate is not terrific, but the smooth taste in a hot Aruba day is. The one issue with this beer is that it must be near freezing temperatures to really taste good, otherwise it is crap. Enjoy.

Given by a friend. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, rather sweet, faintest hint of hops. Light bodied. Supposedly brewed by a German brewer with imported German malts, though in reality it is just another beer brewed for and in a warm climate. Refreshing though.

Review from notes sampled the week of 8/6/2008
Honeymoon in Aruba and lets just say craft beer hasnít come into vogue on this scorching desert of an island. Balashi is the Aruba beer and you can find it everywhere. I got the chance to try this on tap, in green 12oz bottles and in brown 7oz bottles, it makes no difference the beer is a pretty crappy macro lager. Smells and tastes like youíd expect light with hints of corn, honey, grains, and some skunk. I often found a mineral taste, but not always. When in Aruba this is certainly your freshest choice, but certainly nothing to get excited about.

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained not much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear yellow and a sweet water taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a light malty touch . This beer smells malty.

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting by a member who brought it back from Aruba. Might be a new country for me. Very clear light golden which is pretty much what is expected. A thick white head. Some decent carbonation. Some light honey in the nose. This is fairly well hopped for a pale lager. There are European hops that bring some dryness and a hint of spice. This stands up well to its style.

Can in Aruba. Light gold with quickly fading head. Sweet bread / cereal with leaves. Strong carbonation for the body but it goes well with the climate. Finish starts sweet but end with bitterness. Not bad.
