2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Martinus (1777) - Nijmegen, - SEP 29, 2011Given by a friend. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, rather sweet, faintest hint of hops. Light bodied. Supposedly brewed by a German brewer with imported German malts, though in reality it is just another beer brewed for and in a warm climate. Refreshing though.
(From small bottle, twenty-something cL)

The look is clear, golden in color, and has a thin white head. The smell is corn, grains, floral, and cereal. The taste is floral, cereal, malts, and grass.

Pale and malty. Corn and grass. It’s ok for what it is but I much prefer a chill. Thank you, Aruba

Can brought back by a friend from Aruba. Very smooth and easy session. Great for the beach. Reminds me of Heineken

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 VALIS (210) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 30, 2013
I have very fond memories involving this beer since quite a few were consumed at our wedding and honeymoon in Aruba, but take that away and I find very little else about it appealing. There’s a very strong, skunky scent and the taste is malty in a watery, cheap way. Beautiful island, though!

Can - brought back from Aruba by Mike B - thanks!. Pours pale yellow with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is grain, cardboard, corn syrup, hay. Flavor is about the same. Pretty much right down the middle of the Pale Lager fairway.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 GregClow (2736) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 20, 2012
Can courtesy of blankboy - thanks, Paul! Clear bright yellow-gold with a thin wisp of head. Aroma of corn husk, toasted grain & dried grass. Body is clean and crisp with a nice level of carbonation. Flavour is also quite clean, with toasted cereal, a hint of honey, and grassy hops in the finish. Not to my taste, but fine enough for what it is - and if I was in Aruba, I’d have no problem drinking a bunch of ’em.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 kaser (1005) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 26, 2012
Had about 50 of these in Aruba, it is their local beer so just drinking local. Decent beer? Slightly skunky taste unless it was super cold. Typical lager compares to red stripe in my opinion

Can. Gold with small white head. Sweet corn malt on the nose. Tastes like, well...a carribean lager (most taste pretty similar to me). Sweet corn, grassy hops...not much else. I suppose this would be nice on a beach in Aruba but otherwise, just a sweet boring lager.

Bottle thanks to tderoeck. Nose is musky and metallic. Light watery gold with small white head. Taste is metallic, starting sweet and going to slightly bitter. Has something harsh on the palate, and is over carbonated. Bleh...
