Juletilpassa bokkøl, mørk og med god fylde. Ølet er svakt krydra med sitron og appelsin, noko som merkast på syrligheta.

djoeye (1839) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 2, 2014
Light beige head on clear dark dark brown ruby body. No lacing to report. Aroma; brown sweet fruity malts, some fruits and nuts, milky chocolate. Taste; brown sweet malts, nut honey syrup, dry hops, leather, tannins, and finishes into the dark sweet malty department with notes of prunes, raisins, chocolate, mocca beans. Finish lasts for a while too. Feels ok bodied and softly carbonated. Overall; the nutty and not naughty beer. [33cl brown btl, abv7% 20IBU, BB01.03.2016, 8€, B@Vinmonopolet Langnes Tromsö]

Cimbasso (238) - - NOV 21, 2014
Sampled from a 33cl bottle. Dark brown colour with a slightly orange tinge and a very light brown head. Good aromas of rich, dark malts and caramel. The taste is complex with flavours of roasted malts, caramel, dried fruit, orange peel, coffee and liquorice. The finish is spicy and rather Christmassy. A very pleasant dark bock beer with high drinkability.

Bottle at Cardinal during DSJT 2014. Misty deep orange copper colored body with an off white head. Cardamum, raisins, orange and ginger are among the aromas on this complex nose. Sweet, spicy ginger bread in the mouth. Full bodied and pleasant. Spot on!

ABS (552) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 6, 2014
Bottle from Vinmonopolet Lillemarkens. Brown with a red hue. Not that much head. Caramel, malt, some cinnamon, some cola flavour. Dry, soapy. Low carbonation. Some alcohol warmth. Sweet. Some bitterness. Not my cup of beer.

nudiebear (123) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 24, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Bottle at beer festival. Told it has had extra long storage (from christmas 2013 batch). Poured a tanned brown with an off white head. Aromas were reminiscent of Christmas soda as sold in southern Norway (the combination of caramel, citrus and orange). Good bitterness, feels freshly hoppy with slight carbonation. Update after tasting a fresh batch (medium storage since the brewery now brews the christmas brew 10 months before christmas). Slightly less engaging than the 2013. Minty fresh effect on the palate. Still OK.
