Our flagship IPA is a well-balanced yet aggressive West Coast IPA that showcases Yakima Valley hops at their finest. Late additions of Simcoe®, Citra®, Ahtanum™, and Mosaic® give this beer its complex citrus, fruity, and floral aroma and flavor. Named for a unique piece of farm equipment that removes hop vines from the trellis during the annual hop harvest, Topcutter IPA delivers loads of hoppiness all year long. - See more at: http://www.balebreaker.com/beer/detail.html?varietyid=1#sthash.4gWdeMkF.dpuf

Pours with a big, dense head and big floral hop aroma that is really nice. Goes downhill from here. Flavor is fairly dry, lacks interesting notes, and the hop profile is not interesting. Finishes with a lingering bitterness. Not a fan.

Can. Pours copper with dense off-white head. Nose is powerfully resiny hops - largely mandarin orange, passion fruit and a hint of pine needle - a bit of creamy malt showing through as well. Flavor matches the aroma nicely but with quite a bit of mildly sweet caramelly malt backbone - finishes with a mouthful of hop resin with orange rind predominating. Alpha acid flavors fill the mouth for what seems like hours after a quaff. My desert island NW coast IPA.

Pours a finger and half of head on a clear medium straw body. The aroma is grapefruit, lemon and pine. The taste starts with moderate bitterness, mild honey in the middle with a mild bitter finish. The texture is crisp with a soft edge. Solid.

Crisp and clean IPA. Hop forward with a smooth finish. Drinks easier than the alcohol content implies. A personal favorite.

07.14.14 store label. Poured from a can into a mason jar style glass on 08.14.14. A: Pine and grapefruit that could be smelled a foot away. A: 2 1/2 finger head, which stays fluffy. See through golden amber body. T: Pine and hop resin dominate. Flower, malt, and maybe spice are subtle. P: Creamy and crisp. Somewhat chewy. O: This one is definitely a West Coast style IPA, but it could have been more hop forward. It’s more balanced than some. It is a solid, everyday kind of IPA.

Draft @ Drover’s Run. Merry friggin Christmas to me… who woulda thought the newly remodeled Jacques Spur (off Highway 95, 20 miles from Lewiston) had a top shelf beer selection?! Bright golden pour with a thick, creamy finger of white head. Tons of lacing for the entire shaker. Nose is somewhat muted, but in all fairness it was served a bit too cold. Citrus, tropical fruit, and floral hops. Sweet and enticing. The flavor is huge hoppy goodness. Citrus, tropical fruit, floral… just a hint of pine. A medium body and moderate bitterness. Great flavors. I had a couple pints with dinner and I am impressed. Bale Breaker is on the radar.

Can. Golden pour, with a white head. Grapefruit, bitter hops, a bit grassy, citrus, orange peel, and light malty sweetness. Pretty good, and pretty bitter.
