Our flagship IPA is a well-balanced yet aggressive West Coast IPA that showcases Yakima Valley hops at their finest. Late additions of Simcoe®, Citra®, Ahtanum™, and Mosaic® give this beer its complex citrus, fruity, and floral aroma and flavor. Named for a unique piece of farm equipment that removes hop vines from the trellis during the annual hop harvest, Topcutter IPA delivers loads of hoppiness all year long. - See more at: http://www.balebreaker.com/beer/detail.html?varietyid=1#sthash.4gWdeMkF.dpuf

Can at Mike’s house.

Big aggressive IPA, tons of grapefruit and pith, some resin. Enjoyable but the Field 41 APA that preceded it was better at only 2/3 the alcohol.

Grapefruit/lemon citrus hops; subtle floral character. Light malt; Bread/biscuit, sweet. Substantial bitterness. Nice lingering fruity flavor.

Can. Glad I have a whole six pack of this, because this is some good stuff. Grassy, piney flavor and aroma. Fresh hop flavor with a mild bitter, dry finish. This IPA has a drink all day taste to it. Very well done.

Pours an orange gold with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, slightly sweet malt. Taste is sweet malt, bitter hops, grapefruit and passion fruit, earthy and juicy. Really nice ipa!

Can from LetsPour.com. Pours light amber with a transient white head. Aroma is a mix of floral/fruit. Maybe citrus. Med + body. Flavor is very "mosaic" with floral/melon/fruit. Arguably some of the harshness is citrus. Harsh? Yes, lots of hop. This is very NW, except it’s not all pine and/or citrus. Definite hop burn. Really good.

I received this in a trade. I poured this into a pint glass and there is no canning date. The appearance has a slight golden yellow color with fast rising carbonation filling the head which is about two fingers worth. The head starts to get fairly lumpy as it starts to settle after the pour. The smell has mainly bitter citrus hops up front but ends up allowing some malts to enter in as it warms. The taste is balanced well between the hops and the malts allowing a nice bitter to sweet flavor to pervade my tastebuds. Its not a true bittersweet, but still is a nice well-versed beer in the taste. There is an aftertaste and its somewhat bitter but nothing overbearing. There is a quick dry finish. On the palate, this one sits about a medium on the body with a carbonation that isn’t as harsh as expected for an AIPA, but still there is a decent sessionable quality to it that tells me this could go fairly well with its respected food. Overall, this is a fairly good AIPA that I could have again, maybe not one to seek out, but one worthy of at least having again.

Draught at Stumbling Monk, Seattle
Hazy golden color with creamy head. Penetrating hop aroma, with an animal accent. Smooth mouthfeel, a bit dry; toffeish malt flavor, strong bitterness, orange peel, hop resins, but also a light chicory touch.
Very fresh and oily hops, pleasant juice, but something in the final still needs to be tuned.

Great IPA but not sure it’s one of the best. Poured from a can. Copper color, little head, and tiny floaters. Aroma of honey and fruity hops. Almost vegetable and b.o. freshness. Flavor is hop forward for sure. Minimal malt sweetness. Citrus and flowery hop flavors but bitterness is not overwhelming and much appreciated. Good but I feel like I’ve several that taste the same. Even maybe Ranger IPA tastes like this. I don’t know. Fart

Sampled at Schlafly’s Repeal of Prohibition festival 2014 - Pours golden with an off-white head. The aroma has mushy malt and oxidized papery notes. It has a medium / light husky body with abrasive carbonation. The flavor starts dry with paper, earthiness and crackers. The finish is lots of wet cardboard. This didn’t deliver to me. Seemed like an old keg was brought. With the other ratings here I hope I can try a fresh can at some point and rerate it.
