COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship IPA is a well-balanced yet aggressive West Coast IPA that showcases Yakima Valley hops at their finest. Late additions of Simcoe®, Citra®, Ahtanum™, and Mosaic® give this beer its complex citrus, fruity, and floral aroma and flavor. Named for a unique piece of farm equipment that removes hop vines from the trellis during the annual hop harvest, Topcutter IPA delivers loads of hoppiness all year long. - See more at: http://www.balebreaker.com/beer/detail.html?varietyid=1#sthash.4gWdeMkF.dpuf

This is the perfect example of a west coast IPA from the hop capital of the world. I’ve never experienced an aroma as fragrant and well maintained from a production brewery. The bitterness hits you right where you want it too. Bravo, Bale Breaker!

Thanks for the can Julie P! Poured a good head with a great aroma of pineapple, peaches and citrus fruits. The Topcutter has a golden orange hue. Taste is well balanced yet assertive. A sinister IPA with smooth body and satisfying finish. I can’t wait to try the other brews the BBBC makes and hopefully they concoct a Double IPA! Just when you think Wa beer can’t get any better the underdogs from E-Wa cut your top off and show you who’s boss! BOSS!

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2013 On tap at O’Malley’s in Rathdrum, ID. Pours almost clear old gold with a medium off-white head with decent retention; leaves sheeting lace. Aroma is catty, piney, very hoppy. Taste starts out sweet before quickly turning bitter and lingering through a long finish. Bit of an alcohol burn. Super good IPA.

Grapefruit/lemon citrus hops; subtle floral character. Light malt; Bread/biscuit, sweet. Substantial bitterness. Nice lingering fruity flavor.

12 oz can- Pours hazy orange with little particles floating around and a very nice three finger head that reduces leaving a ice cream float appearance and sticky soapy lace. Aroma is fresh piney hops, some citrus, all hops. The taste is fresh tasting, I am getting some sort of melon, very exotic tasting, hoppy, very easy to drink. The body is medium but kind of light which I like in this style, and carbonation is medium. Good, very enjoyable.

I had this beer on tap at the washington brewer’s festival. It truly exemplifies everything that an american IPA should be. Anyone can brew a bitter IPA, it’s not challenging at all... This beer is loaded with juicy citrus hop flavor and aroma that will punch you in the face. This was a very clean finishing beer that did not linger in your mouth long.

Poured from can a golden orange with creamy head. Hop forward aroma with grassy, citrusy notes as well. Amazingly balanced hop flavor. Slight malt hints with a great citrusy taste. No lingering bitter after taste. Great refreshing IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled several times at Boulder IPA Fest. Personal highlight of the entire fest. Clean, floral, citrusy. A superior ipa, perfectly balanced.

On tap at the brewery (and in cans that night). Deep golden orange with a lively off-white head. I was seriously impressed by this one. Very (very) hop-forward, as it should be -- herbal and citrus notes dominate, and the malts are really only in here for weight and balance. It’s a showcase of the hops grown within a couple of miles of the brewpub (the building is surrounded by hop vines), and it’s just delicious. Not too boozy, but very full-flavored. I wouldn’t call it sessionable, but I certainly wouldn’t mind drinking this all night. A little more bitter grass than my hometown Fremont Interurban, but very similar otherwise. Great stuff.
