COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship IPA is a well-balanced yet aggressive West Coast IPA that showcases Yakima Valley hops at their finest. Late additions of Simcoe®, Citra®, Ahtanum™, and Mosaic® give this beer its complex citrus, fruity, and floral aroma and flavor. Named for a unique piece of farm equipment that removes hop vines from the trellis during the annual hop harvest, Topcutter IPA delivers loads of hoppiness all year long. - See more at: http://www.balebreaker.com/beer/detail.html?varietyid=1#sthash.4gWdeMkF.dpuf

12oz can picked up at Brewforia Meridan for $2... Pours with a nice 2 finger white head that supplies great sheets of lacing.. the beer is slightly hazed orange. Nose leans toward the tropical fruity hops with some tangerine and grapefruit.... a fair amount of residual maltiness seems out of lace and carries too much caramel malt. The caramel malts now carry something that I automatically associate with diacetyle... a bit butter/slick for sure... good bitterness and flavor hops help this brew out, but I cannot get past the malty messiness. Body is light with a light/medium carbonation... still pretty drinkable despite my above negatives.... just needs some work.

On tap at Seattle Winter Beer Festival 2014, pours a crystal clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of piney hops, along with some biscuity malt. Flavour brings out more of mineral water, piney hops, and dry biscuity malt. Very well-balanced, with a nice dry palate. Nice IPA.

12oz can in Seattle. Richer gold with solid foam. Another beer with a gorgeous aroma from Bale Breaker, very fresh and true to the flavor of the hops used. Balanced creamy body, very drinkable, crisp bitterness after fresh full hops. A proud PNW IPA, not the most outstanding brew I’ve tried but really tasty and hitting the right notes. Love it

Outstanding citrusy American Pale Ale. First time, on tap, it was even more amazing, but now from a can it’s on slightly less so. Lacing was better on tap, and it may have been a tad less bitter. A great go-to beer.

Nice for a canned beer. Fully bitter Hop flavor. Slight floral hop on the front. Overpowered by bitter on the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Pacific Brewing & Malting, Tacoma, 07/11/14. Clear golden amber with a moderate of white covering. Nose is juicy citrics, light floral, pine, tangerine, solid hop wafts. Taste comprises bitter grapefruit, pine, orange squash, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Solid IPA, blew the house beers out of the sky!

Can from trade, thanks Michael! Pours copper gold with a big clingy white head. Aroma is grapefruit, tropical fruit, slight floral. Caramel and grapefruit sweet with grass bitterness.

12oz can, thanks to umich03jm! Mostly hazy orange golden amber color. Good thin off-white head, with good retention. Leaves good, thicker sheets of lace. Fantastic pine and grapefruit citrus up front. Some sweet caramel malt. Medium body. Super smooth, kind of fluffy texture. Lighter, creamy carbonation. Lightly slick. Moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter. A tasty hoppy IPA without being too dry. Good malt sweetness to back up the big hop. I like it a lot, despite it being sweeter (doesn’t skimp on the hop). Looks like a pretty complex bouqet, reading from the ratebeer description... No wonder! Super delicious big hop, yet super swiggable. What’s not to love. The bigger sweetness makes this a great pairing with my sandwich. Much better than expected!

Golden color out of the can with an attractive foamy off white head. Floral nose with lots of grapefruit citrus hops notes. Very well balanced IPA with a strong grapefruit rind and orange peel hoppiness. Very much what I think of as a West Coast IPA. Paired well with spicy chicken.

Can thanks to michaelinwa. Hazy gold pour with a nice frothy head that fades to a messy ring and leaves some webbing. Aromas are wet grass, tropical fruit, and grapefruit. Tastes moderately bitter thoughout. Dank grass and tropical fruit mostly. Some herbal hops as well. Dough-y malt shows up in the finish. Solid IPA but not as smooth as I would like.
