good to chug! Find a fotey and party! Pours rusty copper and has a strong malt character. Bitter at first sweet in the end. Had a long time ago so hard to characterize. A drunks gold!

For a 40oz/Malt Liquor drinker Ballantine is the best ever. Great Ale taste, drinking an ice cold Ballantine 40 is like heaven. This great Ale not only has historic value but might have the best label of all time. When I die I want to be embalmed with Ballantine

Bottle. Pours pale gold with a receding white head. Aroma is mildly of green apples, sllight biscuit, honey-clover, a touch cinnamon, and reassuringly lager-ish. The flavor is surprisingly not terrible as expected. Certainly a mild lager but with hints of apple and butter-honey, and perceptibly bitter with a carbonated bite. I would drink this over a miller anyday.

Clear pale yellow color, sweet floral aroma. Took a few sips, but this one is a little hard to drink. Flavor is of dirty pennies and weak malts. About what I expected for the price.

Pours copper with a nice white head. Smells perfumy with some sweet malt hints. Tastes sweet and malty with a grassy, earthy finish.

There is a funky fullness of body in this lovely golden ale that is only explained by corn and a mish mash of malts that is refreshing on even a rainy day. This of course is said if you are mowing your lawn. Nose of corn and not much else. Hops....?????

Boy, does this one bring back childhood memories. The drinking age in New York was 18, I could get served at age 13, Son of Sam was stalking the city, and this was about the only thing we had too cool us off - especially when the big power failure hit. Don’t know where I’d find it these days.

12oz bottle. sweet skunky aroma with honey. large bubbles stick to the glass under a huge fizzy head. syrupy body with light sweetness and a tasteless dry finish. not incredibly terrible at all. fairly smooth palate-wise. do they sell cheap canned 12 packs of this stuff? i’d probably buy it!
