changeup45 (561), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 10, 2008 When I read "America’s largest selling Ale" on the bottle I thought I was doomed. It’s not a bad beer though. It’s golden in color with what was initially a pretty thick white head. That tapers off a bit but a thin head does maintain throughout. A slightly floral aroma but not strong at all. Taste is slightly sweet malt with an okay (mild) hop balance. It’s very smooth and quite refreshing, distinguishing itself from a typical "swill" beer. Now it’s nothing outstanding, or even really that good, more average, but I wouldn’t have a problem drinking this again.
urnamesucks (92), New York City, New York, USA Aug 21, 2008 Drank it out of a can. Didn’t pour anything, just drank it. Nothing to write home about, but better than others.
jredmond (598), New Jersey, USA Aug 18, 2008 This beer tastes like it was brewed before any escalators. Horrible. Skunky aroma and taste and hard to drink. Found this little billie to be pretty offensive. Guinness4Duff (464), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 Can. Blonde pour with a thick white head. Aroma is like slightly skunky hops, but the taste is ok. A little sweet, a little bitter, nothing special but drinkeable. Pwn3d (597), NYC, New York, USA Aug 16, 2008 12oz. Wasnt terrible. Had green bottle symdrome taste and nose - skunk like and grassy. Im not sure why they say its older than any escalator? lol that doesnt seem very relevant. Underhook (93), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Jun 27, 2008 Had this one before, figure I’ll drink it (or pour it, depends how this goes...) to remove it from the cellar. Instant skunkitude from the pour and first whiff. Damned green bottles... The taste isn’t much better, there’s really nothing there except for a watery, skunky taste. The rest of this is getting dumped, not worth it...
