Intense caramel and sweet toffee aroma. The flavour follows similar lines although it is dryer than you’d expect from the sweet nose. Good for a UK strong bottled ale, but has an obvious alcohol tang and some cardboardy notes in the finish. Not bad though. (Bottle cond from Hog’s Back Brewery)
