The Crown, Nuneaton. Vinous red wine aroma. Opens with faintly mulled cinnamon or clove, vinous gluhbier and grapeskin, sour buttery oak. Red fruit, lingering nuttiness. Strangely festive, fruity mild.

Cask at the South Western Arms - St Denys (So’ton) - 09/09/12. Mid chestnut brown with a thin tan head that soon clears to the edge of the glass. Weak aroma to this beer, a little nuttiness and balsamic vinegar. Light malt taste with some biscuit and faint toffee. Light bodied, quite wet, pretty bland!
