Gold in colour, small white head. Lacks aroma, just a bit malty. Sweetish cara start with a bitter hoppy finish. Boring.

Bottle at Chris_o’s, for the RB London and joet Gathering. Pale, orangy gold and spritzy, but also fairly murky. With 25+ beers in one sitting its very difficult to describe the appearance of each. Aroma is fruity and slightly of citrus fruit. Flavour is sweet and malty and tastes much like any other Golden Ale.

Bottled at The London/Joet Gathering Chez Chris_O. A golden coloured beer with not much going on in the aroma. The taste was nice and hoppy with some red fruit flavours coming through - possibly strawberry and blackberry. Very drinkable.

The Kilburn Gathering. "Callard’s Golden 2004 - bottle conditioned" Light golden beer with soft caramel and dusty hops. Nice.

Bottled. Foggy golden despite my best pouring effort. Hoppy and pleasant bitter. Quite nice on a summers eve.

Orange coloured. Lactic and sour with fruity notes of pineapple and orange.

[Bottled conditioned] This beer was rather skunky even though it was within the best before date. A hazy orange beer with a white disappearing head. The aroma is like grapefruit and sour milk. The flavor was malty and sour - would be a good flavor for a wild fermented beer - but not this one. I hope my bottle was bad.

Lemony and acidic at the start, with a hoppy and dry finish, slightly refreshing edge. Once again the malt had a "Special K" flavour, which i've found in most of Ballards beers.

Bottle conditioned. Copper gold in colour with a moderate head and good condition. Initial aroma is of spicy malt and grapefruit but a smell develops that I could only describe as warm bakelite. Fruity malt in the mouth with a good hoppy bitterness and a soft sweet malty finish.
