Our Big Eye IPA is a big hoppy brew, thanks to the abundance of American Columbus and Centennial varieties we use to flavor and dry hop. While the English originally added extra hops to preserve their beers for sea travel, we do it for the love of all that bold, intense flavor that makes India Pale Ale one of our favorite styles.

Rated on 3-05-2016 (Bottle) This beer’s appearance is a medium sized ivory head that is mostly lasting, golden transparent body, lively, fast rising carbonation, and a ring of lacing. The aroma presents citrus, pine hops, very aromatic, grapefruit, semi-sweet, tropical fruit, and malt. The flavor of this beer presents light bitterness, citrus, pine hops, tropical fruit, and grapefruit. The mouthfeel is lightly carbonated and this beer is light-medium bodied. A very drinkable IPA with lingering bitterness. It is very tasteful for the style, worth trying and an IPA that I would partake in again.

Clear amber beer with a thin white head and a bitter, hoppy, citrus aroma. Flavour is a good blend of fruity citrus and that same bitterness. Almost too easy to guzzle.

Amber-copper colored, clear, medium off white head, good lacing and decent lasting. Aroma is of caramel malt, very fruity, floral and citrusy. Taste is medium sweet caramel malt, floral, moderate fruity, some biscuit, citrus, medium+ bitterness, dry finish, lasting aftertaste. Medium bodied, soft+ carbonation, oily. Some hardcandy in taste and aroma. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Very nice. Near clear yellow copper pour. Aroma and taste are fruity and flowery. Balanced sweet, but not over balanced.

Outdoorsy grassy aroma of fresh hops, wheat, hay and a tiny amount of honey like malt. Very clean. Great looking, bright crimson/orange color with an equally bright head of clingy foam. Tastes hoppy but not bitter. Refreshing. On the hoppy side of the hops/malt balance, but not overwhelming, just nice. The palate was a little confusing - I could have used either more carbonation or a thicker consistency. It delivered neither, this is the only underwhelming aspect of this beer. This was good. Does Ballast Point make a bad IPA?

355ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is grapefruit and pine with some caramel and pine. Taste is a pine and grapefruit hop bitterness with a light tropical fruit and malty sweetness. Medium bodied with good carbonation. A well balanced IPA that must be sampled. Very tasty.

Bottle 0,33l. Appearance is amber golden, off white head. Aroma is pine, fruity with a bit of malt. Taste is a mix of malt and tropical fruit, very bitter but juicy, the malt destroys it though. Mouthfeel is crisp carbonation and medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
