COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you have fallen for the IPA style like we have, Big Eye will be a welcome addition to your repertoire. You’ll revel in Big Eye’s bitter, hoppy flavor thanks to the American Columbus and Centennial hops that are used to flavor and dry hop our flagship IPA. We thank our hops every day that the English loved their bitters—or else the IPA style may not have been born to help the beer survive the journey from Cape Hope to India back in the 18th century.

Botteld. Clear amber color, frothy/creamy head. Piney, floral and peachy hop aroma, notes of strawberries too. Round maltiness with some medium dark caramel malt flavors, slightly toasted. Quite heavy bitterness with resiny bite that lasts forever. Medium body, slightly oily texture and smooth carbonation. Very good.

Clear orange beer, big creamy yellowish head pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, piney touch, pineapple, passion fruits, sweet mango, citrussy. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: fruity start, citrus, very piney, passion fruits, bitter grapefruit, sweet mango. Aftertaste: bitter, lots of peaches, grapefruit, piny bitterness with sweet malts and caramel underneath. Very enjoyable!

Can pour. Clean orange with active head. Nice dry hopped nose with orange behind. Taste is dry and pleasantly bitter throughout. Lush and green. A little pick-me-up of caramel sweetness in the middle. Great can.

Medium amber, sparkingly clear color, tall, persistent mustard color head. Intense herbal nose. Full body, dense flavor concentration, balanced mouthfeel if you can tolerate this much bitterness, lingering palate. Very bitter, dry but not completely so, bright acidity, Assertive flavor of grapefruit, herbs, Extreme beer class, I like it, but would welcome more sweetness, with the risk of making it less distinctive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Wow ... big time dry-hopped mushiness ... chewy, masculine and bitter-forward, as much as a beer can be. This is a beautiful beer all the way around ... perfect visuals ... rich orange/amber, frothy big head. Both the aroma and flavor is piled with layers and layers of oily hops. Outstanding. Clear, light amber pour. Aroma is pine, lavender, bitter orange peel. Not a lot of malt complexity. Floral and piney bitterness. Bitter finish with grapefruit rind.

Pours a very nice clear golden color. Citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and a bit of floral notes on the nose; all follow onto the palate. Pretty smooth, finishes clean. Medium bodied.
