COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you have fallen for the IPA style like we have, Big Eye will be a welcome addition to your repertoire. You’ll revel in Big Eye’s bitter, hoppy flavor thanks to the American Columbus and Centennial hops that are used to flavor and dry hop our flagship IPA. We thank our hops every day that the English loved their bitters—or else the IPA style may not have been born to help the beer survive the journey from Cape Hope to India back in the 18th century.

12 oz bottle, Whole Foods Columbus. Deep brownish red, one-finger head dissipates into tiny ring. Aroma floral, piney hops, nutty, perhaps caramel. Flavor is a blast of bitterness; heavy on the hops; notes of bread, caramel, maybe honey. Mouthfeel medium-thin, almost oily and almost frothy. Good IPA but the tiniest iota from full-blown unbalanced; Ballast Point’s Sculpin IPA is a step above this for its balance and cleanness.

Great pungent hops on the nose full of over ripe piney aromas really thick flavour is big even more so than the aroma and combines with the taste to give a sharp refreshing bitterness up front that just lingers on at the back of the palate. Really like this because it’s bitter start to Finnish and has fantastic hop aroma and flavour.

From can. Marked 7% abv. Copper pour with some off white head. Nice carbonation. Grassy nose with some fruit. Taste is also grassy, nicely bitter with a strong, lingering finish. This is a near perfect representation of an IPA.

Poured from a 12 OZ. bottle into a pint glass, Aroma- I really enjoyed the hop and citrus feel coming off of this brew, Appearance- this IPA had a great dark orange color with a one inch white head. Taste- strong hop presence with a healthy dose of citrus and possibly a hint of caramel(?) Palate- a full slightly bitter finish that I really enjoyed Overall- one of my favorite IPA’s it is a fairly hard beer to find in Douglasville, GA but when I see it I often purchase of six pack of it.

Bottle. Pours clear bright copper with a tight white billowy head. Aroma is all pine and peach. Malt sweetness to start is quickly overtaken by RESIN with a lasting bitterness. Banging

Pours an amber brew as one would expect, fair head that dissipates to leave thin lacing. The aroma hits with big sharp citrus notes. This bottle has a bit of age on it now, so the fact the aroma still holds strong is really impressive, for me the most impressive feature of the beer. The tastes is tart and bitter from the abundance of hops, but not lacking in complexity. Overall, the hops are just a little overpowering for my personal preference, but I will still revisit this beer again, perhaps paired with some spicy cuisine.

Dark cloudy Golden Ale with small white head, heavy floral and citrus aromas, fresh fruity flavours with a lingering mild bitter aftertaste, medium body excellent balance very enjoyable.

Big malt and hops. From the bottle. Pours amber with fluffy tan head. Smells of malt, grapefruit and bitter mango. Taste is similar. Malt forward with a bitter citrus hop middle to end. Not bad, full flavoured. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
