COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you have fallen for the IPA style like we have, Big Eye will be a welcome addition to your repertoire. You’ll revel in Big Eye’s bitter, hoppy flavor thanks to the American Columbus and Centennial hops that are used to flavor and dry hop our flagship IPA. We thank our hops every day that the English loved their bitters—or else the IPA style may not have been born to help the beer survive the journey from Cape Hope to India back in the 18th century.

Harsh hoppy bitterness follows this from aroma to first sip to aftertaste. Excellent. I get pine and citrus (grapefruit) together. I find it easy to drink.

From can. Marked 7% abv. Copper pour with some off white head. Nice carbonation. Grassy nose with some fruit. Taste is also grassy, nicely bitter with a strong, lingering finish. This is a near perfect representation of an IPA.

Poured from a 12 OZ. bottle into a pint glass, Aroma- I really enjoyed the hop and citrus feel coming off of this brew, Appearance- this IPA had a great dark orange color with a one inch white head. Taste- strong hop presence with a healthy dose of citrus and possibly a hint of caramel(?) Palate- a full slightly bitter finish that I really enjoyed Overall- one of my favorite IPA’s it is a fairly hard beer to find in Douglasville, GA but when I see it I often purchase of six pack of it.

Bottle. Pours clear bright copper with a tight white billowy head. Aroma is all pine and peach. Malt sweetness to start is quickly overtaken by RESIN with a lasting bitterness. Banging

Pours an amber brew as one would expect, fair head that dissipates to leave thin lacing. The aroma hits with big sharp citrus notes. This bottle has a bit of age on it now, so the fact the aroma still holds strong is really impressive, for me the most impressive feature of the beer. The tastes is tart and bitter from the abundance of hops, but not lacking in complexity. Overall, the hops are just a little overpowering for my personal preference, but I will still revisit this beer again, perhaps paired with some spicy cuisine.

Dark cloudy Golden Ale with small white head, heavy floral and citrus aromas, fresh fruity flavours with a lingering mild bitter aftertaste, medium body excellent balance very enjoyable.

Big malt and hops. From the bottle. Pours amber with fluffy tan head. Smells of malt, grapefruit and bitter mango. Taste is similar. Malt forward with a bitter citrus hop middle to end. Not bad, full flavoured. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Served on cask at Al’s of Hampden into a nonic pint.

A - Pours a clear, dark, amber with a solid one finger head that leaves thick lacing down the entire glass.

S - Lots of tropical hops in this one. Lots of mango, grapefruit, and tangerine flavors. Some sweetness from the malt and a bit of bready yeast at the end. Seems very similar to normal sculpin but still a very nice nose.

T - Strong, sweet, malt profile up front quickly giving way to a strong citrus hop presence. Flavors are similar to the nose. Fairly well balanced once all the flavors blend together. A very nice cask IPA.

M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Fairly bitter finish lingers on the pallet for some time.

D - I enjoyed this one quite a bit but I think even with all the additions they made it is still only on par with the regular version of sculpin.
