If you have fallen for the IPA style like we have, Big Eye will be a welcome addition to your repertoire. You’ll revel in Big Eye’s bitter, hoppy flavor thanks to the American Columbus and Centennial hops that are used to flavor and dry hop our flagship IPA. We thank our hops every day that the English loved their bitters—or else the IPA style may not have been born to help the beer survive the journey from Cape Hope to India back in the 18th century.

Aroma is good but kind of subdued. Taste has a string pine bitterness with not much else to offer. Solid beer though.

355 ml bottle pour, pours a dark rustic golden with a light white head that quickly fades. Loved the perfect amount of hops in this, citrus flavours on the palate with a floral aroma on the nose. A very well balanced IPA, highly recommend.

Bottle pour. Slightly hazy copper orange with foamy white head. Hoppy aroma with hints of floral and light citrus. Crisp silky palate. Hoppy with pine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Homer321, thanks again! Slightly hazy burnt orange pour with an off white head. Big resinous hops on the nose. Flavor is an awesome combo of citrus and floral hops. Nice malt balance as well. Great brew.

Pours a clear and carbonated rust orange. Aroma is a mix of floral, citrus hops, and pine. A big hop bomb to start with citrus, pine, fruit, and some malts to follow. A strong bitter fruity hop aftertaste that is slightly sour.

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends, july 25th 2014. Clear orange body, foamy white head. Aroma is hoppy, pine and citrus fruits, light sweet malt taste with a late dry fruity hop hop finish. Excellent balanced yet hoppy IPA

Bottle. Dark amber, slight haze, sparkling, dense foamy off-white head. Aroma is soft lemon, digestive biscuit, something vaguely floral - maybe pollen. Body is medium, mid-carbonation, foamy in the mouth. Taste is lemon, grapefruit, pine, resin, background toffee Centennial hop sweetness. Overall impression is minty. Finishes fairly bitter.

Lots of pine and resin with a backdrop of fruit - apricot, peach. Pours a clearish gold with a thick foamy off white head that lasts for days. Fairly light mouthfeel. Piney. Earthy. A little bit of bitter edge but with a lingering softness in the finish. Not bad.

Bottle picked up at GBBF 2014. Pours a slightly dark orange amber with a white head. Light caramel, slightly floral/perfume grass aroma. Medium body, medium carbonation. Good, big solid bitterness on this... Nice and dry with tangerine, a little mango, pine and dry woody resin. Tasty.

8th July 2014: Orange County, on my daughters balcony. The bottle poured out a golden/orange/amber brew with a full but thin beige head. Hops lead the way with citrus notes filling both your nose and taste buds. For me this was too much on the lemon side, not my scene really. Nothing wrong with this, just not my cup of beer. medium bodied and refreshing enough I suppose. Scored objectively.

Clear golden with a thick white head. Aroma is grapefruit hops with just a hint of pine. Flavor is grapefruit again with a bit of dry pine hops in the finish. Very drinkable, and quite good with spicy food. Brings out the natural fruitiness. Could use a touch more malt to round out the body, it’s just a bit thin. Wife: 4.1
