3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 harrisoni (11023) - Ashford, Kent, - AUG 8, 2011Bottle bought at GBBF 2011 and drunk at home on my last day of my summer holiday. Black beer with lasting tan head. Dark choc aroma with some of those PNW hops. Very smooth and creamy in the mouth with more darkish choc flavour and then some bitterness on the finish. It’s quite full in the mouth with that creamy feel which is pleasant. Lacks a touch of intensity maybe. Just a slight edge of something there that doesn’t quite sit right if I’m being real picky. Bit of cereal comes through, but the creamy choc on the swallow is very good.
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 WeissGary (197) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle at BrewDog, Edinburgh, Scotland. Clean aroma, very creamy and milky choco taste with a very light spice on the tongue, dry light hop finish. Very tasty, love the hop twist with plays with the traditional porter elements throughout his beer! Another fine beer from this brewery!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BillWyce (539) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 25, 2013
From notes: Poured cola brown with a 1-finger mocha-colored head. Roasty, chocolatey aroma with a touch of citrus underneath. Body was medium-to-full, with a grainy note in the finish. Chocolatey taste lightened by a note of citrus. Burnt coffee note at the back.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 EithCubes (4233) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 23, 2013
In honor of ... the Marlins’ black uniform tops? Nose is sweet, inky, dark roast. Pours deep brown-black with a jiggly tan head. Taste very sweet, dark (black) roast with a little tar, very watery body but a coating and creamy feel, dash of mocha and even mild licorice. Minimal hopping but there is a sense of balance. Light bitterness underneath, but lots of rich chocolate. If it were weaker I’d call it sessionable, but as it stands, somewhat insignificant; tooth-fuzzing sweetness reminiscent of industrial German Schwarzbiere.

Served on Nitro. Opaque brown black body, Thin, patchy beige head. Deep and rich, this is a really balanced, excellent Porter. Big roasty chocolate tone, but also a nice hop balance. Rich, woderfully executed. Phenomenal, World Class.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 QuezXLV (375) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Nice nutty and roasted taste. A but earthy in the aroma. Not sure if this has to do with this being expired but its thinner on the palate than I would expect for a porter.
