DTM (399), Winters, California, USA Dec 7, 2007 Poured black with a super large head. Good roasted malt flavor, but somewhat thin-bodied. It was okay, but I usually expect more from a porter
Goodgrief (1055), Middletown, Delaware, USA Oct 11, 2008 KSBF 08 - Dark brown color. Roasted aroma. Big chocolate malt flavor with lots of roast. Rich and full with a dry finish. Hey, not horrible! The_Captain (339), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 7, 2008 KSBF 08- Really dark brown pour with a small tan head. Roast coffee texture with dark chocolate notes. Slight dry cocoa finish, some sweetness. Decent. afireinside96 (498), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2008 On tap at KSBF ’08. Dark brown, nearly black with a tan head. Light smell of dark chocolate. Bitter chocolate dominates the flavor, a little dusty. Not bad. unclemike (380), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Sep 1, 2008 Poured a dark brown with a small tan head. Nose was pretty choco-roasty, a little fruity. Taste is classic roasted malt with appropriate hop bitterness as backup. Initially I didn’t notice, but this one has quite a carbonation issue---a bit too much. The hops never quite make a statement in this...a bit too sweet in the end. .
