On tap at the Livermore Saloon. It pours dark brown with a khaki head. The aroma has apples, maple syrup and alcohol. The flavor is more apples, nail polish remover, dark fruit and fig. Too sweet and solventy. Not too good.

This was a dark fairly uncarbonated beer, not much of a head, very sweet aroma, candylike, with almost no discernable bourbon aroma or flavor... very sweet dark fruit full bodied...

Pours deep ruby/mahgony almost black with a very thin tan head. Aroma has some dark fruit, sweet roastiness, and hints of licorice and very faint plastic...no notable boutbon. Flavor follows suit...some earthy roasty bitterness creeping in...a touch boozy...bourbin is VERY minimal...had to really search for it. Mouthfeel is medium/full and the finish is fruity/earthy and slghtly dry.

brokensail (9944) - Orange County, California, USA - APR 27, 2012
A murky brown color with minimal off-white head. Only a mild bourbon aroma, but some nice oak notes, just a hint of vanilla. The malts are well represented with good bread, toast, and toffee. Maybe a little bit of brown sugar. The flavor is good, but not great. Mild to moderate bourbon with some toffee, brown sugar, and vanilla. Very little, if any, alcohol heat.
