Aroma is a clean US version of a saison, light bananas and apricot, some white pepper. No rustic farmhousey anything. Flavor follows suit, not crazy strong, but bananas and pepper dominate. Not sweet, but the esters have me thinking a bit otherwise. A Belgian pale,perhaps? Semi-dry, bitterness at a 3. Light to medium body, low to moderate carbonation. OK. 7-3-6-3-13--3.2

Awesome beer. Pours a pale yellow with mild foam. Very fucky and bready aromas. A little sweet up front but a very satisfying finish.

Aroma: yeast, bread and light malts, some pepper and faint spiciness from the yeast, citrus and light fruity notes.
Appearance: light golden with a fluffy white head, good retention and lacing.
Taste: peppery yeast and light malts, some pear and faint orange notes, finishes slightly on the malty/sweet end of the spectrum for saison, but nice nonetheless.
Palate: light-medium body with medium+ carbonation.
Overall: nice session saison, very easy drinking

Slightly hazed golden orange pour with a white head. A bit sweeter than expected. Biscuit, bread, and honey aromas. Nice pear and apple, some clove, lemon zest, and yeast. There’s a nice citric quality to the flavor. Very subtle tartness, some lemon zest, apple, and pear. A touch of grass and spice. Sweet biscuit and bread notes all the way through with a hint of bitterness on the finish.

Draught at Rattle ’N’ Hum, NYC. June 2. Pours a clear gold with a small diminishing frothy white head. Good lacing. Aroma’s a bit mild but nice, with herbs, grain and yeast. Flavour’s slightly too sweet for the style, along with grain, herbs, yeast and light spices. Light to average bodied. Just good.

Pours a golden amber yellow with a white head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, sour fruits, and some Belgian yeast. Taste is sweet with a lot of sweet Malts, sour fruit, some saison spices, and a little Belgian yeast. Has a medium body with a watery mouthfeel and a dry, short, too sweet finish. Overall, a ok saison that is lacking true saison character and is too sweet.

Draught Small white bubbles over pale golden beer. Very sharp, coriander and yeast with 4Vinylguaiacol nose, cloves and sulphur. Sweetish, and again clovey Weizen features. Quite slick, medium bodied, alcoholtouches despite low ABV. More Weizen than Saison.

At Hamiltons , ok aroma, sweet. Minor yeasty spice. Banana, clove. Clean orange gold color. No head or lace. Sweet spice flavor. Medium body lite, but creamy mouthfeel, bittersweet finish. Good, light in the scheme of things. Session beer for sure.

On tap Pizza Port San Clemente, Belgian Tulip: Aroma is sugar and hints of citrus but nothing really stands out. Overall pretty dang weak. Appearance is deep yellow, with a nice head initially that fades very quickly then simply disappears leaving no bubbles/ no lacing/ nothing. Taste is extremely heavy and sweet no noticeable funk/ yeastiness/saison character. Palate is super heavy and syrupy, thick and completely unrefreshing. Overall this is close to being the worst saison I’ve ever tried. (the worst was a bottle that came flat and uncarbonated) I’ve been having bad luck with this style lately and this just continues the trend.
