COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, copper ale with a case full of gold medals.
Our California Amber takes its inspiration from traditional English ESBs. Four types of malts give it a bold complexity, and our proprietary yeast strain lends it a fruity, madeira-like richness. However, it’s the American hops that give this ale a distinct bite and floral aroma that have earned it just about every major beer medal.

Pours a rusty golden color. Has good taste with a little bits of hops. Not a bad beer.

This is an excellent Amber. Our room is mostly caramel toffee toasted malt and a little hop. Color is a deep Amber and has a nice long lasting thick creamy head. Taste is where it really shines with toasted malt Sweetness in the background and some hop bitterness in front balanced with Just Right carbonation. Finish is outstanding I could drink a ton of this.

Flaska @ Bishops Arms, Karlstad. Klar bärnstensfärgad med ett tjockt smutsvitt skum. Dofter och smaker av rostad malt, karamell, torkad frukt, citrus och blomster. Avslutas med en lätt beska. Rund och mjuk munkänsla.

Picked up single 12-oz bottle as Calico Amber from Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, MN. Pours a semi-clear golden brown colored brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of roasted caramel biscuit malt, a hint of floral and citrus hops and a touch of hard pitted fruit. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of caramel malt and some fruity esters. Finish is semi-dry with a typical roasted caramel amber ale followed by some earthy hop bitterness. A solid Americanized amber ale.

At The Golden Tap, poured copper red with a medium off-white head and nice lacing. Aromas of raisins, toffee, and light roasted malt. Flavor is mild bitter.

Bottle: Beautiful amber pour, great clarity and thick creamy tan head. Nose is moderate floral hops, a little pine, and caramel malts. Ample bitterness, but enough caramel malt to soften the impact. A bit floral and earthy. Very nice.

355 mL bottle. Translucent Amber with a small but foamy head. Nice lacing. Resin, brown sugar and a touch of orange in the nose. Nice malty flavour adds caramel to the mix. It finishes with a touch of earthy hops. Mild bitterness. Sorta half way between a British Amber and some of the hoppier American versions. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a brownish amber with a head somewhere between off-white and tan. Floral hop aroma up front. Fades a bit during the session lending to more caramel and biscuit aromas. Caramel malt flavour with some alcohol as it warms. Medium bodied with a rich mouthfeel and an off-sweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle into English pint. Smooth malt mouthfeel with a slight hop bitterness, then continue yes to finish smooth. Light lacing. Aroma of raisins. One of the better ambers I’ve had.

Draft to taster at The Pint Room. Looks solid; a completely transparent caramelish orange with foamy off-white head. Smells malty with notes of fruity hops, ale yeast, and a touch of toast. Tastes like it smells with a mildly bitter medium-bodied mouthfeel. Solid, but unmemorable.
