Nitro tap at brick store. Pours a clear copper with big thick cap of tan white head that leaves great lace. Aroma of nice earthy hops over big sweet red malts. Taste is more malt forward, nice balance though. Creamy mouth with the nitro, great finish. Nice beer.

Nitro at brewery. Pours clear copper with thick frothy off-white head. Aroma is bready and biscuit malts, light toast, spicy and floral hops, and faint woodiness. Flavor is dry malt base with light caramel sweetness, faint citrus, and smooth hop character. Medium body.

we had this..er...copper colored ale on nitro and co2. pretty unassuming both ways but pleasantly malty with notes of nuts and caramel, very light earthy floral hops. As a full pour, nitro slightly prefered."

Smooth, creamy, easy-drinking session beer, especially when presented as a nitro draft! One of the best American ESBs I've had!

krumbum (610) - truckee, California, USA - MAY 23, 2014
My sample was tainted as I had this on a nitro tap. Deep copper color, small but sturdy nitro head. The cream head hides any aromas of this beer. Smooth cream over a spicy hop bitter with light nut undertones. The cream and bitter spice plays off each other so well.

On nitro at brewery. Hazy copper brown with a thick creamy white head. Malty, nutty, toffee aroma. Nice creamy silky light bodied palate. Tastes of cereal grain, nuts, and toffee with a lightly bitter dry finish. Nice.

Nitro pour at RIBCO, pours a clear copper with a creamy white head that stays around forever, the aroma is really earthy with lots of bread and caramel, the flavor has a nice clean front end with lots of the bread and caramel through out, nitro makes it super smooth and enjoyable, not bad.
