Very good sweet flowery aroma, taste is quite good...flowery and sweet as well but with the hops bitterness... bitterness is on front end and a bit too strong for me...also has a hotter alcohol taste that is about the highest it could be without degrading taste. Lots of flavors...good and bad though lol

A great cornerstone of the Ballast Point "fish-themed" IPAs. Clean, tasty west coast Double IPA with a fantastic, complex hop profile.

Appearance- hazy amber, a big off-white head which quickly diminishes, leaving a clinging foamy covering. Aroma- lots of tangerine, grapefruit and pine, hops, pineapple, juicy fruit, hints of bready malt. Taste- bitter grapefruit and pineapple juice, hop resin, orange peel, marmalade, long bitter finish, juicy, fizzy and full mouthfeel. Alcohol well hidden. A nice, fruit-forward DIPA.

Poured from a 12 FL.OZ. bottle into a snifter. Golden, clear color. Very thick 3-4 fingers, frothy head. Decent lacing. Average, medium carbonation. Nice fresh aroma of a resin and sweet aromas of a grapefruit and mango. Some alcohol, some caramel. Heavy bitter flavor, later light sweetness. Bitterness is not harsh, that I can tell. Medium body. Creamy, oily, sticky and little bit salty. Has a very long, dry finish. Tasty but not very special beer. Expiration date: 22.01.2017 Review date: 18.05.2016

This is a fairly enjoyable double IPA. Aroma and taste is hoppy, earthy, fruity and shows hints of citrus. Not too boozy. Pleasant long lasting bitterness.

12oz bottle poured at home - no bottling date on it. Tastes fairly fresh. The aroma is present, but not overhelming. Taste is very crisp and dry. No alcohol present for a 10% beer. Pretty tasty

Poured from the six pack of bottles, not the first time I’ve had this one just can’t get around to rating it because it’s so potent and delicious. Taste is creamy, piney, sticky, tropical, thick, and not boozy at all considering it’s alcohol content. This is one of my favorites and always a go to when I find it cold.

Pours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some bready malty tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste.
