Bottle shared by theisti at Indra’s tasting 12/7. Pours a cloudy tangerine with a thin cap of white, creamy head which diminishes to a small ring clinging to the edges of the glass. The nose is a beautiful bouquet of sweet citric hops, melon and caramel. Very nice. Medium-bodied and slick, almost creamy, with a dry bitter finish. A sweet caramel malt front is a well-balanced counterpoint to the big, citrus flavor of the hops. A very tasty brew and probably the most quaffable IIPA that I’ve sampled to date. Thanks, Tim, for sharing this gem with us!

22 oz. bottle from Zinister, shared at at the 12/7 tasting at Indra’s. Pour is orange-ruby, cloudy with a 1/2 inch off white head that fades pretty fast. Aroma of earthy hop, some citrus, some pine. Taste of the earthiness initially, with some resin hops kicking in the middle and a nice pine/citrus finish. There is a nice malt backbone throughout, lending some biscuit sweetness. I really liked the balance in this one, and the subtle transition between the hop flavors. Really nice, thanks Mike!

bomber.....pours a crisp and clear amber brown with a thin white head....tropical fruit and a load of pine hops offsetted and balanced by an equally strong malt component. aroma didn’t explode out of the glass like the Exponential but is pleasant nonetheless.....this one had a huge initial bitter pine kick which i wasn’t ready for but is fast to smoothen out with sweet sticky malt. almost tastes like how our xmas tree smells but still remains pretty balanced. the finish is slightly bitter that never becomes too in-your-face which i enjoyed....better than the recently tried hop juice but behind others like alesmith ipa and exponential hoppiness.

Wonderful hoppy aroma chock full of tangerine, orange, and citrus. Orange colored. Wonderful candy like citrus hops. Bitter, but smooth bitterness. Amarillo? Great stuff.

Light in color, the way I like IIPA. Fresh and fruity hop bomb resin aroma with just a hint of caramel malt. Smooth, sweet and resinous with a big soft hop flavor. Has some grassy and vegetative notes that fuss with the nice citrus, pine and apricot flavors. LIngering but balanced bitterness.

Super piney. Good hops. A nice, bitter aftertaste. We drank a bomber while watching Superbad. The two - film and beer - went hand in hand. Another San Diego beauty.

on tap @ O’Briens in San Diego. Not very impressed & I seem to be alone here. Something seemed a little off her. Not really impressed with hop aroma or presence. Will have to rerate

Big thanks to cbkschubert for this one. Pours turbid orangy with 3-finger off-white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, caramel malt, tangerine, mango, black pepper. Tastes resiny hoppy, caramel malty, with pineapple, grapefruit, mango, black pepper, and a rich, complex, very smooth palate. This one is outstanding.
