Fresh 2013 bomber. Pours an ultra clear golden orange color with a very small fizzy head that quickly fades. Decent aroma of apricot, orange, and pine hops. Not as fresh or dank as I expected. Taste has very little sweetness and a strong bitterness. Packed with dry, bitter pine hops and a decent malty backbone. Bitter and piney finish. Medium body and slightly oily mouthfeel. I don’t really understand the high ratings here on this one. Mediocre DIPA in my opinion.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rbrazell (961) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 2, 2013
Clear deep golden pour with a thick frothy white head. Fairly one dimensional aroma of crystal malts, resinous and dank hops. Initially sweet entry quickly turning into strong bitter hops with plastic and warm booze. Definitely not what I was expecting.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 BlackIPA (716) - Rochester, New York, USA - APR 2, 2013
Pours a clear orange with a white head. Massive citrus aromas along with a clobbering of pine. Really deep and bright aroma. First sip reveals a massive hop bite... bitter lemon rind, grapefruit. Bracingly bitter. Oranges. Very impressed. The finish is long, dry and bitter.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 HighWine (836) - Whalesbro, Illinois, USA - APR 1, 2013
Honey colored pour, moderate lacing. Apricot nose. Taste is hoppy resin, apricot, and mango. Medium mouthfeel. Much lighter drinking than it should be at 10% ABV. Clean.

Poured from bomber. Didn't expect the clarity to be this high. Only had a pine and a hop nose to me. Sweet citrus hop mouthy feel that left a resin taste at the end. Cool beer. Searching for this on tap...

650 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Bottle lists the abv as 10%. looks good; a transparent orange with white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; sweet and hoppy. Nice and lit on the palate for a 10% beer. Enjoyable, but not as good as Sculpin.

On tap at old grove. Pours a bright light orange with a small off white head. Aroma is of citrus, pine, tropical fruits, and sweet malts. Taste is of citrus peels (a lot of orange) pine resin, tropical fruits, sweet malts, and a little alchool. Has a medium body with a creamy mouthfeel and a dry, pretty bitter, crisp finish. Overall, a tasty dry hopped version of Dorado. Earlier Rating: 7/12/2012 Total Score: 4.3 Pours a clear golden orange with a foamy off white head with some nice looking bubbles. Aroma is of grapefruit, orange, pine, tropical fruits, some sweet malts, and some caramel malts. Taste is of intense citrus (grapefruit, tangerine, and orange), pine resin, tropical fruits (pineapple and mango, sweet malts, and some nice caramel malts. Has a medium-full body with a super creamy, oily mouthfeel and a semi dry, long, bitter finish. overall, a tasty DIPA that hides its ABV very well and it surprisingly drinkable.

Pours a orange body(sick clarity) with a nice two finger white head. Looking good for an IPA.
Lots of hoppy goodness going on in the aroma. Sweet orange, grapefruit, pine, floral, and lime. There is a touch of malt peeking through with bread and caramel.
Big ol’ bitter grapefruit juice flavor. Lime, pine, caramel sweetness, and some alcohol that hides fairly well but takes its toll towards the end of the bomber. 4
The mouthfeel seems bigger than most big IPA’s. Drinks smooth with a medium-low amount of carbonation. This big beer is a surprisingly easy drinker.
There are good aromas and flavors but it just doesn’t pop like such a huge beer should. It is still pretty awesome.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Daytonbeer (388) - Ohio, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Pours bronze with white head and little lacing. Citrus and some pine on the nose. Taste is about the same with some serious bitterness on the tongue.

Aroma is pine, citrus/orange, lightly spicy and malts. The flavor is orange/citrus, a hint of orange pulp in the texture, syrup/sweetness notes and mix of hop resin, bitterness and tangy in the finish.
