Orange, rosemary and tea aromas blend well with caramel sweetness and hop bitterness. Medium body and not too sticky. Bitter finish lingers in the back of my throat. A solid DIPA.

Golden coloured with big white head. Pineapples in caramel aroma. Big on the toffee with huge piney, bitter finish. A beautifully big beer. Rated by BrewTom

I think what I like best about this one is how it feels on the palate, very smooth and silky. All the right hops and malts blend together nice. I would also recommend to not drink this super cold. It get much more interesting when it warms up a bit. Never disappointed with Ballast Point though.

On tap at the Knick (4/11/15). Nice hoppy resin notes, mild tropical fruit. Light alcohol and some sweetness. Amber-golden clear with thin lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium-high carbonation. Starts moderately bitter and sweet with aromatic hop resins; floral. Bit bitterness throughout, with dry bitter finish and pleasant bitter after.

Pours golden, with slight orange tint, and minimal head. I taste grapefruit. This is really nice...and strong. Worth savoring. Great brewery.

355ml bottle from Club de Cervezas. Pours a beautiful and shiny orange color with a medium white frothy head with big bubbles and medium retention that leaves a fine lacing. Aroma is strongly hoppy, fruity and intense. Notes of grapefruit dominate leading to further perceptions of melon-pear, orange and tangerine citrus, hay, rare tropical fruit nectar, flowers, more citrus. Very aromatic. Taste starts with subtle fruity sweetness, mostly from sweet citrus flavors, leading to a very bitter finish that contains more citrus rind, orange peel and some lime/cedar touches. Alcohol warming. Lasting aftertaste. Wonderful. Body is medium to big, pretty sticky texture. Whole mouth remains sticky same as after drinking pressed overripe orange juice. Medium carbonation. Overall this is a fantastic sweet/citrusy IIPA that shows refinement and class, but needs a few extra kinks to be really sublime.

Orange pour from tap - medium off-white head thins to a film quickly with heavy lacing. Aroma is quite intense on this one - loads of tropical fruit hops, decent level of caramelized malt...enticing! Flavor is quite solid too...heavy dose of bitterness is offset almost perfectly by the malt backbone...ok, I have had better, but this is very nicely done. Oily on the palate...not ’boozy’, but the alcohol is there. Very much enjoyed this offering
