The aroma is awesome, sweet hops with fruit and citrus notes. The orange cloudy color has a decent creamy head. The flavors of citrus, hops, and crisp ale blend together smoothly on the palate.

Bottle - Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Smells of grassy, herbal hops, but with a nice malt backbone. Well-balanced and fruity sweet--not much hop profile in the taste, surprisingly, but finishes dry with grassy hops and a bit of nuttiness. Smooth and syrupy in the mouth.

Thanks to LagunitasFan!
Appearance: Pours a semi clear amber gold with a nice beige head.
Aroma: Grapefruit, perfume, flowers. Probably more citrus notes than anything.
Taste: Big pine bitterness, spicy malt and grapefruit.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, modestly carbonated and sticky.
Overall: Very solid, and distinct from the other IPA and IIPA’s Ballast Point makes.

One of my favorite beers. Great taste. Nice aroma. Potent. Just wish it was available all the time and cheaper.

A: A clear pale gold/yellow color with a nice fluffy head and amazing lacing.
S: Very piney, slight citrus presence, and essentially zero malt.
T: A lot more citrus on the tongue, grapefruit and lemon peel. A nice piney finish and a bitterness that sticks around and leaves you wanting more.
M: Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied.
D: An amazingly drinkable DIPA. Great offering by Ballast Point.

On tap at Ballast Point. Pours a nice orange with aromas of sweet honey and a little bit of floral and resiny hops. Flavor is pretty sweet (the guy pouring said that when extremely fresh the hops are much more assertive and I would have loved to try it then.) As is, it’s got enough hops in it to keep it from being cloying.
