22 oz. bottle from Market Wines. Pours a clear orange-gold with a centimeter of off-white head that settles somewhat unevenly and laces the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, pine, grapefruit, florals, fresh-cut grass, and a dash of honey. Flavor of grapefruit, pineapple, resin, caramel, florals, lemon peel, tea, honey, and mango. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, resinous mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Some fresh hoppy bitterness, but very much balanced by the malt profile here. The average rating is right on the money.

Fruity, citrus aroma with underlying caramel malt. Bitter fruity flavor. Finish is spicy with some alcohol that balances rather than overwhelms. Really good double IPA.

Bomber. Pours a deep gold/orange color. Small head with some lacing. Aroma is sweet malt & dank, resinous, pine. Lots of booze to this one. Taste is (heavy) alcohol, (heavy) caramel malt, and (heavy) bitter resinous hops. A bit of anise is present. Full bodied with a slick, oily mouthfeel. Nice hop profile, but just too much malt for me.

World of Beer, Baltimore, draft. Nice hoppy bitter aroma, but not strong enough to make my eyes roll back in my head. Aroma smells a little like a farm, if you get my drift. Has a sharpness, an anise, to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (12 oz) bought @ Cambridge Wine & Spirits. Hotel Room Tasting.

Appearance: Clear bright golden/orange with a small fully lasting white head and little lacing.

Aroma: Quite hoppy (dank and citrusy hops) with a lot of resin, alcohol and herbal presence.

Taste: Medium sweetness. Quite resinous with dank hops, citrus/tropical fruits, light spiciness, boozy presence and medium bitterness.

Palate: Medium to full body. Moderate to medium carbonation. Super oily mouthfeel. Dry resinous finish. Warming.

Overall: Impressively drinkable for a 10% abv DIPA. It’s a bit boozy, but it’s not one of those horrible DIPA that you could confuse with an hoppy Barley Wine. Tasty and well balanced.
