Sampled on cask at the Brewery. A nice I-IPA. The cask had centennial hops in it and you could really taste them. Big body. Alcohol is hidden by the massive hop flavors. Nicely balanced.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2007 On tap at Pizza Port Real Ale Festival. Gold-Orange color, medium head. Good malt presence and a whole bunch of hops. Alcohol does not stand out, overall a decent IPA if you are in the bitter mood. Re-rate. Much better balanced from bottle sampled on 06-07.

A gratefully perfect hop blend, complete with the citrus grapfuits and bitterness of a pine forst. Very bitter, teeth grinder. Nice brew, also a deep amber hue with a moderate soapy head.

Tap @ the Bistro's Double IPA Festival. Medium golden color with a tan head. Smooth rich hops and easy to drink. This beer won the competition.

Thanks again to O’Briens for having this on tap! Clear amber with a white, lasting head that left a decent amount of lacing. Aroma of pure hops! Nice piney, grapefruit aroma and flavor. Very well balanced, considering it is quite hoppy. Alcohol not evident. Good mouthfeel.

Citrusy, sweet orange, and spruce held up by a fair maly background.

This was the last one i tried leaving the Strong Ale Festival, and i was unfortunately a bit disappointed. Im totally a stoutie, but the aroma here jumped out and struck me as extreme citrusy hops mixed in with that wonderful pine smell you get only from a good IPA. The head was mild, but more foamy than creamy, while the color was a nice mild blonde/yellow, fairly clear at that with a considerable amount of carbonation. The taste was marred horribly however in some sort of strange balance between the excess carbonation and the incredible floral hops which made for quite a cringe going down. This was not a beer to have by itself was my first impression. As i continued to drink i noticed a definite move towards a lingering dryness and pineyness that just didnt sit well with my palate and hurt the rating here.

Big piney aroma. Resiney mouthfeel but nothing to stand out. Poor Strong Ale Fest notes but still nothing to rave about.
