22 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured a transparent thin orange-yellow color, 3.5 mm white head formed but did lace just a little. Aroma of hops- but it seems heavily muted, and malt. Hits the mouth with a wide body, malt was lightly mixed with caramel, that small hop nose whoops your ass and slams down the door in the middle, finish is heavily acidic. God I miss Cali IPA’s!

Bottle. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, moderate to heavy pine and orange peel for the hops, light soap for the yeast with hints of honey and dried apricot. Head is small, frothy, white with good lacing and good legs, and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear but has a few crumbs on the last pour, light amber/orange. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then the long finish is lightly sweet and acidic and moderately to heavily bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a soft to lively carbonation and is moderately astringent and alcoholic in the finish. Grapefruity aroma and bold bitterness from this top-notch DIPA.

Sampled at a recent Wirtz Beverage/Illinois seminar, and poured to stemware by the staff from bombers displaying a clear, deep golden color, with creamy, soft white head foam, and nice cling to the ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose was expressive mid-fruit, citrus, with a touch of pine. The flavor was big malt with some sweet accompaniment, pronounced and very lingering hop bitterness, and big alcohol. A bold DIPA.

This poured a copper color with a white head. The aroma contains perfume, pine, oranges, and lemons. The flavor is bitter but has a solid malt presence as well. There is some bitterness with oranges and lemons in the flavor. There is a slight tropical fruit thing going on at the end. Overall a good IPA.

I sorta hate to disagree with the 99% rating but this was a bit of a slog. Vet Stone-like in its muddle of multiple hops that wear down the palate and the stomach. Even the nitro dispense didn’t lighten this one.

On tap takeover at Cole’s in Buffalo. Pours deep amber gold and has a great hoppy aroma. Taste is mildly bitter and strong.

Rich, deep copper color with a white ring head. Resiny hop aroma. Medium-thick but smooth texture. Lighter body with a full but tame floral, hoppy taste. Square finish.... hides the alcohol incredibly well.

4/9/13. 22oz bottle. Hazy orange pour with a small orange white head that lasts in half forever and laces well. Bold dank bitter hop aroma, almost sour, cat pee, citrus, earthy, and just about everything on the hop gamut. Rich flavor, loads of citrus, grapefruit, dank, pine, and much more. Intense and tasty.

Same in taste with smooth full body.Mildly toasty good light sweetness with nice stronghop flavor/bittering.Maybe some fruity yeast esters. Some dry alcohol in finish off and on.Strong piney/citrus flavor in finish. One of the better double ipa’s right here.

Bottle pour orangish yellow. Nose of pine, citrus, and sweet undertones. Taste of the same, grapefruit up front, pine, citrus, followed by bitter. All balanced by a thick mouth feel and sweet backbone. Good length. All the f Arbors I like in a DIPA, but not as big, slightly muted.
