4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 yespr (22161) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 18, 2008
22 fl oz bottle. Pours slight hazy and orange with a dense off-white head. Citrus/orange peel fruity and pinewood hops aroma. Fruity and dry hops flavour: citrusy, orange fruit, peaches, pinewood and light apricot. Nicely balanced sweet caramel malt base accompanying this. Goes into a lovely fruity hoppy finish slowly declining in fruit flavours into a rather dry set of hops. Great!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 19, 2007
Bottled. Almost clear pale amber, creamy head. Concentrated lychee aroma. Sweet and softly malty with lovely seemless aromatic hop character. Alcohol is evident, perhaps too much so, giving it notes of peach brandy. The powerful hops add not only lychee but also extreme bitterness and soem cocoa. Excellent, but their Big Eye IPA is even better.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2010 2010-04-13, 8-5-8-5-17=43 Gorgeous copper to amber color, solar; creamy head. The bottle not being fresh, some of the hop qualities left, instead the aroma becomes more complex, creamy, with toffee, vanilla, mellow resins. Strong body structure, with powerful toffee flavor, enough sweetness to satisfy my sweet tooth, incisive resins immediately evident. Strong bitterness. Even not fresh, a very solid beer.
2008-08-31, 10-5-9-5-18=47 Hazy deep blond color with a thick head. Wonderful hoppy aroma, fruity first, then resiny, and with some vanilla in the end. Strong body structure, very strong caramel and toffee flavor, sweet as I need it, and extreme hopping. Most enjoyable final. I had to confirm the first impression.
2008-04-04, bottle at Ølbaren, Copenhagen, 9-5-8-5-18=45 Hazy golden color. Poweerful hoppy aroma, a lot of resins, citrusy resins; some fruitness too, and hop pellets; wonderful. Almost chewy toffee flavor, with some appreciated sweetness and an extreme and very resiny hopping. Extremely extreme, and one of the most enjoyable Double IPA I had in some time.
