Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 21, 2007 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of both hops and caramel. The flavor is sweet amtly with strong notes of hops, and a thick caramel body, leading to an OK bitter end. Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 14, 2007 (Bottle 65 cl) Pours amber golden with tiny impurities and a small, creamy white head. Fresh, citrusy, grapefruitish aroma. Quite full-bodied with some caramel and then some extremely perfumy aroma hops leaving a rather extreme bitterness. 080107 omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Dec 19, 2007 Bottled. Almost clear pale amber, creamy head. Concentrated lychee aroma. Sweet and softly malty with lovely seemless aromatic hop character. Alcohol is evident, perhaps too much so, giving it notes of peach brandy. The powerful hops add not only lychee but also extreme bitterness and soem cocoa. Excellent, but their Big Eye IPA is even better. yespr (7843), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 18, 2008 22 fl oz bottle. Pours slight hazy and orange with a dense off-white head. Citrus/orange peel fruity and pinewood hops aroma. Fruity and dry hops flavour: citrusy, orange fruit, peaches, pinewood and light apricot. Nicely balanced sweet caramel malt base accompanying this. Goes into a lovely fruity hoppy finish slowly declining in fruit flavours into a rather dry set of hops.
