On tap @ Porter’s Pub, UCSD. a deep golden color with a small, slightly off white head. Strong citrus in the aroma, and the flavor was stron on the grapefruit, with a healthy dose of alcohol as it warmed.

Bottle at thrashzone. Aroma of citrusy hops and a touch of caramel and honey. Big malt flavor with storng hops, dark fruits, cherry, some vanilla. Sweet, but with big alcohol and a strong hop finish. Cloying in the mouth, though, with not so good balance.

Pours a dark amber in a dimly lit environment. Holding it up to a white wall it looks light amber/deep gold. Cask at Al’s of Hampden by the way. This smells like caramel and tastes like caramel, way too much sweetness, kind of flat. Hops are an afternote; I don’t really remember them much.

( 22oz bottle thanks to ballewblake) Pours a clear yellow with low oily bubbles. Nose of pine, sweet grapefruit esters/oils. Taste folllows and is pretty bitter for me with some wood thrown in. Body is oily and light. Well balanced but not enjoyable for me.

Golden peach. Creamy, tight white head. Soft tangerine hop aromatics are tarnished by notes of resin and honey-soaked malt. Pointy carbonation. Slightly creamy. Initially juicy with tangerine and a vibrant cushion of orange pith. Dense pockets of oily resins coat the teeth and distribute sporadic intensity. Floral softness lurks beneath the feathery touch of lightly toasty malt dryness which keeps the oils from reaching oppressive levels. Plentiful soft citrus and hop flavor rather than predominant high-alpha bitterness, though the flavor profile of the hops isn’t particularly lustrous. Finishes with a bitter tease of orange zest fused with the succulence of nectarine juice and peach which effectively absorb creeping hop-derived chalkiness. This doesn’t quite make my heart sing, but it’s better than most American IPAs as it boasts abundant hop flavor to combat some of the resinous onslaught which this ultimately suffers from. Would love to see the alcohol at 8% or less...

Bottle @ Dutch Ratebeer Session. Aroma has citrus (grapefruits). Bit hazy, orange coloured with a lasting off-white head. Taste has tangerine and medicin, is astringent. Has bitterness and some fruity sweetness. Quite unbalanced in taste, aroma was much better.

Bottle@DTS. Very fruity aroma, mainly grapefruit, light grassy. Hazy, dark yellow color, off-white head, good lace. Very sweet start, apple and other fruits, thin medicinal and very grassy in the finish. Sticky and very dry in the finish. Out of balance, over done.
