Bomber pours a chillhazed orange amber body topped by a creamy offwhite head that leaves clingy patch lacing on the glass. Bold hop aromas of pine, grass, citrus and tropical fruits. Subtle caramel notes underneath. Taste has a solid caramel malt backbone which supports a tasty melange of tropical fruitiness. Very well balanced, with a sweetness that is not intrusive. Finishes with a pleasant citrus rind bitterness that follows into the aftertaste. Excellent DIPA that isn’t as hopcentric as most of the westcoast examples I’ve recently sampled.

Nov 29, 2008 22oz bottle. Medium/dark gold pour. Great hop aroma, just what you would expect from a DIPA. Nice biterness, pretty easy drinking as well. Very good.

Nov 20, 2008 22oz. bomber: This one poured a clear, orange tinged golden color. There was a about a finger of off-white head on it. It left some lacing down the glass. Just what I like in the aroma: a big old blast of hops. Mainly grapefruit and piney notes. Perhaps some floral, caramel and fruity notes also hiding in there. The taste is very good. Bitter, but more balanced than your typical hop bomb. Some sweetness in the aftertaste, with some fruits popping up. There may even be a tinge of pineapple in there. Very Nice! I’m pretty sure Vac sent me this a while back in a trade. It’s been hiding in the fridge for quite some time.

Nov 20, 2008 22oz bottle. Hazy orange with a fine white head. Instant burst of candied pineapple, strawberry, mint in the aroma. The flavor has an intense fruity, hoppy flavor, mostly of dried mango and mint. A firm malt sweetness enhances the hops, yet isn’t cloying or sticky. A bit fatter than some other west coasters, but not too flabby. Just enough bitterness to cut the body and dry the finish, in tandem with just a hint of smooth alcohol. No harshness or astringency. This bomber is going down dangerously fast, but this is still a substantial sipper. Awesome DIPA.

Oct 15, 2008 Getting notebook online. Bottle. Pours an orange hue with some haze to it. Good pine aromas. Decent sweet entry. Lots of hop flavors as well. Real good DIPA!

Sep 29, 2008 Pours a hazed orange with a bit of off white head. Great big ol pine and grapefruit aromas. Just a bit of caramel in the background. All sorts of wonderful hop flavors. Aggressive but not overbearing. Medium body with medium carbonation. A well balanced long lasting finish. Nice beer. I need to come by a bottle.
