Wonderful choice of hops. Nice and sticky. The malt is very mellow and sits nicely behind the malt. All the normal hop flavors are in there full strength and a bit of a few less common fruit/flower flavors aromas. A bit thick w/ a bit too much alcohol on the flavor. A great hop bomb with some great elements and a few flaws.

Bottle. Pours dark yellow with thin white head that gathers at the edges. Mild hop aroma. One dimensional. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance of unfiltered and clear amber orange. Small and thin head but long lasting. Grapefruit and pine meet the nose, with sweet sugary maple and caramel malts as well. Tasty beer. ABV is noticable but not overbearing. Grapefruit dominates. A good beer for sure.

Very nice DIPA. It met all of my expectations and even though I have passed by this one many times I may now try more Ballast Point offerings.

12oz bottle. Pours amber with a foamy off white head. Aroma is of pine, hops, and malt. Very piney. Taste is very piney, with a lot of citrus hops. Nice malt backbone. Lingering sweet hop taste. Finish is very dry. Mouthfeel is soapy, and very carbonated. It’s just a good beer.

This is a maximum beer. Strong aromas of grapefruit and lemon, thyme and sandalwood. Lots of slippery alcohol, bitter and lengthy, dry flowery finish. Delicious.

Grapefruit, caramel, floral notes for the aroma. Elegant, but not so strong. Sweet bready malt, in the mouth, followed by grapefruit and dank epicness, with a lot of green flavour like grass and piney. Average carbonation, stong bitter notes with a tone of spicey in the aftertaste. i like it.

This brewery continues to impress me. Dorado is a damn serious double IPA. It pours a slightly hazy gold color, the head leaves lots of lace in the glass. The aroma is similar to Sculpin; clean with lemon and cantaloupe notes, but with more alcohol vapor. The hops hit the tongue like a sledgehammer. Very bitter, very dense. The hops are all I pick up on until the very last, when the smooth malt comes through, followed by some pineapple and caramel quality. The last of that sip leaves lemongrass and more boozy vapor in the nose. Wow, really nice.

22oz bottle pours clear dark amber with 2 finger head. Nose is malt forward with round grapefruit, orange zest, malt fruit, toast. Taste is malty with moderate sweetness, some round piney orange and grapefruit, melon, bitter. Finishes bitter, medium sweetness, toasted pine, orange peel, soft grapefruit. Ok.

Orange colour, white head. Aroma of caramel, hops. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonatioin. Peach flavour. Pretty good.
