Twist on the IPA. Citrusy, floral with a hint of herbal ginger. Aroma and flavor are fantastic.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy, copper-gold with mid-sized, tan/off-white head. Aroma of pine hops, some citrus, a hint of ginger. Flavor is crisp, with a big jab of ginger right from the get-go, followed by lots of citrus and hop bite. Ginger is also quite prevalent in the finish/aftertaste as well. Pretty tasty.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle with friends at st Patrick’s day party. Aromas were almost just regular Big Eye. But the flavor was kicking with ginger.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle This was purchased at Whole Foods in Western Henrico County The ale poured a clear amber with a big off white frothy head and lacing. This is a good looking ale with aroma of light ginger that greets you. The ale has a medium body with average carbonation. The ginger adds to overall experience with complex floral citrus flavors. The ginger plays a minor role but is present from first sip to the last.

1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Mad mex tap. Pale with a slight brown tint. Nice lacing. Mild dull ipa perfume. Taste is simply one big terribly on style ipa blast. What else can be said? No hint of ginger or heat. Mouth coating soapy finish, not impressed with the style even after years and years. Go figger.

The ginger aroma is not so obvious but still can taste a liitle of ginger. Either you like ginger or not, you can enjoy just like you do big eye. It’s a shame it doesn’t have much character tho

I do not get any ginger aroma or flavor. But the overall IPA base is solid.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a hazy dark amber from a bottle, not much ginger in the nose but a lot of spicy ginger flavor. Kind of a meh on the whole thing, doesn’t really jive with the IPA IMHO OK?

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
BOD 1/6/16. Clear medium amber pour with a hint of garnet. Quite outstanding head volume, world class lacing and retention.
Outstanding nose of citrus (pineapple, orange, light zest) and spruce over a biscuit base with slight ginger notes.
Light body that is smooth with a hint of oiliness. Superb carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a nice prickly finish.
The flavor profile is quite good and very well balanced. Intensity is moderate while complexity is average. It begins with a slightly sweet wave of pineapple and orange that flows to a moderately bitter middle. Middle bitterness has a bit of spicy peppery spruce and pine over a predominate zest influence. Sweetness maximizes as the bitterness begins to fade and mango comes forward. The finish is dry and orange zest lingers with spruce becoming more noticeable as the finish trails off. A light astringent alcohol note appears at the very end. Ginger is present but never really becomes pronounced until after the middle. Its strongest showing is just before the finish and through it.
