COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ten different malts and six different hops (Ahtanum, Cluster, and Spalt to name a few) combine to create this full-flavored, small beer. Even Keel features a silky malt backbone and a bright hop flavor and aroma that come from the late kettle additions and dry hopping with 1.5 pounds per barrel. Even more layers of flavor are created with fermentation being done by two strains of yeast. This session ale is herbaceous with additional citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. The orange to copper hue draws you in and the low alcohol volume keeps you coming back for more.

Can at Hopyard, may 21st 2016. Clear golden body with a huge white head. Aroma is malty with mild citrussy hops. Taste is sweet, light grass and mango hoppiness, with a bitter weak fruity finish. Can’t expect a big fat ipa at this strength, but it does get a little boring

12 oz.can. Clear amber with almost a film of lasting bubbles. Aroma is resin, earthy leaf, orange zest, toasted pecan and a bit of toffee. Flavor is a very nice mix of the same, with a steady drying undercurrent of resin and a bit of white pepper. Body is more light than medium and has a bit too much fizz, but offers a very sessionable dry-leaning balance.

Can from Bearden Beer Market. Orange, with a lot of white foam. Smells grassy, very green, and a good deal of citrus. Taste is grassy and citrusy hops, hint of caramel, and more hops in the finish. I liked it...

Bottle from Bottl3.5hop in Stockholm. Hoppy smell with citrus, pine and some grapefruit. Similar hoppy aroma in the taste but also a malty caramel backbone. Medium bitterness. Nice for a low ABV beer.

Can - Slight sweet smell to it from all the malt varieties. Nice Amber color as well. Good balance of malt and hops, neither flavor profile is over powering the other. With all the varietals of hops and malt, I really don’t taste any single flavor just a lot of balanced nuance on the palate.

Can at the Lincoln Wine Bar. Surprisingly good. Bigger body than most sessions. Crisp flavors. Really good for a hot summer evening.
