COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ten different malts and six different hops (Ahtanum, Cluster, and Spalt to name a few) combine to create this full-flavored, small beer. Even Keel features a silky malt backbone and a bright hop flavor and aroma that come from the late kettle additions and dry hopping with 1.5 pounds per barrel. Even more layers of flavor are created with fermentation being done by two strains of yeast. This session ale is herbaceous with additional citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. The orange to copper hue draws you in and the low alcohol volume keeps you coming back for more.

Can. Pours clear orange, large puffy off-white head, dissipates slowly, nice residual lacing. Aroma is perfume, pine, grapefruit, herbal. Flavor follows, light sweet and light bitter, a bit buttery, lots of perfumy hop presence. Light body, pretty solid beer for <4%.

12 oz can. (Bruisin Ales) Asheville, NC.
Clear golden amber colour with a small off-white head. Bitterness, piney and resiny hops and malt in the aroma. The flavour is piney hops, moderate bitterness and malt. Very balanced and surprisingly rich for a 3.8% brew.

12oz can. Pours a deep clear dark gold, white head. Aroma is grassy hop, pine, citrus, grapefruit pith, bready malt, Flavor is light bitter pine, clean pale malt, bitter citrus rind, bitter grassy hop finish. Light / med body, very bitter hoppy finish. Very impressive this is 3.8% given the flavor, definite session-ability.

Un nez splendide aussi puissant que leur ipa. Une charge juteuse plus qu’intéressante, amertume moyenne, croustillance extrême avec un certain sucre résiduel qui disparait totalement au final.

On tap at Frisco Taphouse and Brewery in Columbia, MD. Clear, medium amber with a off-white head and fair lacing. Aroma of citrus, grass and grain. Taste of grass, citrus, grain and floral hops. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. There is nothing complex here--just a perfect balance of hops and malt with only a trivial amount of alcohol. Easy to drink with ample flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

For having such a neutered abv, Ballast Point really took their craft to another level in making this session IPA both complex and unique. The hops are definitely palatable, and the nose is wildly misleading. This is definitely a masterful brew with humility that other breweries should take note of.

Small, tight, white head, good lace and a clear, copper hued appearence. Nice flowery, grassy nose with light fruity citrusy notes. Nice mouthfeel, good carbonation, lightly oily and a hint resiny, clean and light. Dry, pale malts, nicely biscuity and freshly grainy, slightly juicy hops and a clean dry finish with a balanced bitterness. Cool little quaffer! Pretty tasty, clean aromas, nice mouth feel for such a small brew. Cans from statelineliquors.

(tap) bright light amber colour with a small white head; aroma of grapefruit; mostly dry , not overly complex flavour (still tasty) with long light bitter finish
