COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ten different malts and six different hops (Ahtanum, Cluster, and Spalt to name a few) combine to create this full-flavored, small beer. Even Keel features a silky malt backbone and a bright hop flavor and aroma that come from the late kettle additions and dry hopping with 1.5 pounds per barrel. Even more layers of flavor are created with fermentation being done by two strains of yeast. This session ale is herbaceous with additional citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. The orange to copper hue draws you in and the low alcohol volume keeps you coming back for more.

oof, or better yet, OLOF. This sucked. Tasted like cardboard, i know sessions are all about the nuances but this was LAME. Nothing, just wet cardboard.

Tap @ Ballast Point. Poured a mostly clear golden color with an off-white head. The aroma was citrusy and hop forward. Citrus flavor that was light with a semi-sweet malt base. Bitter dry finish with a light body.

Copper colored beer from a can. Mostly clear with a cream colored head. The smell is malty, caramel, pine, fruit, and good. The taste is pine, bitterness, some sharpness, fruit, good. Good overall tiny bit harsh that leads to a slight off balance.

Pours clean and sharp golden amber with one finger of off white head. Lightly citrusy nose with a touch of biscuit malt. Dry and light bodied, touch too light. Biscuity/bready finish. Lightly leafy/herbal notes with some citrus zest.

Tap... Poured copper/amber-orange with a thin, white-ish head. Cracker-like and bready malts balanced a faint hop character. Like it says, it’s session ale. Very drinkabale, paired well with all sorts of food too. Hops were earth and grassy, but too floral or citrusy.

Can. Pours clear orange, large puffy off-white head, dissipates slowly, nice residual lacing. Aroma is perfume, pine, grapefruit, herbal. Flavor follows, light sweet and light bitter, a bit buttery, lots of perfumy hop presence. Light body, pretty solid beer for <4%.

Draught. Pours a very clear amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose is nicely floral with some slight pine and slight pepper elements to it; awesome! Taste is light and clean, very fresh, and not too bitter. Easy drink.

On tap at Milltown, Carrboro. Nicely complex and flavorful APA, with a handsome orange pour, a leafy and aromatic nose, and a pleasingly bitter profile. Some fruit notes and substantial malts in there for balance and body. Admirable session brew.

Can. Appearance is orange to copper. Aroma is a lovely bouquet of fresh hops, malt, citrus and spice. Flavor matches, and is quite lovely! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
