Thus beer does not seem 3.5% to me. It is a Jekyll and Hyde beer. The first half is awesome. Full of citrus and a big hop bite. Then it so of harshes the tongue after that. In comparison to the Stone collaborative San Diego Session, this doesn’t balance out the full glass. Maybe less hop assertiveness would help.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at RBSG. Pours a golden amber with a dissipating white head. Great floral hop aroma. Light to medium bodied. Flavor of pale malts and dry biscuit, countered by a nice aggressive citrus and spicy bitterness. Finish is grassy, semi dry and hoppy. Great concept and great beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Devil’s Den in Philadelphia, PA.
Pours a dark amber color with rose edges and a two finger, frothy light beige head that has excellent retention, only slowly fading into a lasting cap. Steaks and spots of soapy lace left behind.
Resinous earthy hop aroma with subtle hints of citrus countering the dry, grassy pine character. Underneath there’s a nice malt presence with some caramel, toffee and nut.
On the fuller end of medium bodied with a blast of bitter dry hops up front that linger over the sweeter notes into a slightly dry finish. Lots of earthy pine, grass and soil countered by orange peel, mango and grapefruit. Well balanced by decent makt backbone with hints of caramel, toffee and light fruit notes. Overall this is a solid, well balance, easy drinking session ale that has a very strong hop profile.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ O’Briens: Fills the pint sized shake with a solid golden color and firm foam topping. Aroma is dominated by hops and really lets it be known by the most quickest whiff. Flavor allows the hops to be apparent still but it lacks a full body and gives me the imperssion that it was watered down. Maybe not maybe so i still enjoyed it and thats all that matters.

Orange with a white head. Citrus, sweet malt, floral notes. Smooth and easy going. Solid brew but not sure if I'd go back. Something about it puts me off.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Golden yellow pour with a decent head. Aromas were very fruity, citrus, peach, some pineapple. Flavors were nice too. A bit more malt than in the nose, and the hops were a touch more bitter than fruity. Not Too Shabby
