Sample from the tap@O’Brien’s: Light golden color with a small white head. Citrus hop aroma is lemony. Light fruity malt start with a lightly bitter citrus finish. Light bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation.

Draft from the brewery. Tons of hops. Citrusy and fruity. I love this trend towards really hoppy, low gravity brews.

Tap @ Local. Pours clear gold with a bubbly white head. Crisp hops and grass in the aroma, with white grapes. Straw and hops in the front that turns nicely into lemon and resin with drier malt/bread flavors. Very light, shocked to see it was classed as an APA.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Foxbush (1003) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Sample of this ale poured a clear amber with a small head. There was malt aroma with this ale. There was a mild bitterness with spicy flavors. Finish was smooth with a soft carbonation. This was tasted at the brewery in San Diego.

On draft @ O’briens. The 4.5% thing was apparent from the first sip. Tasted kinda flat, lifeless. There was some hop aroma, but it was misleading because the overall feel of the beer was watery. In a word, boring.

Tap in the Ginger Man, NYC. A mid amber coloured ale with a small head. Aroma is fruity, hops but also something a little sweet. Taste follows, a nice easy drinking hoppy ale. Not the most complex, the best bitters (even hoppy ones) of this strength have more malt balance.

On tap at Stone on Mothers Day! Golden orange color with nice lacing. Mild hop and malt flavor. Fairly thin on your palate and flavor wise. Dry finish. Not bad beer.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 nike (748) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 17, 2012
My kind of APA-great hoppy flavor. Well balanced, great session brew, does have a lot of personality for a beer that is only 3.8%. Interesting, some complexity as well.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hivemind (663) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 12, 2011
On tap at Ballast Point (Old Grove) with Andy, James and Dallas for Dallas’ bachelor weekend. Glassy-hued, deep golden pour with no apparent head. Flour, light hops and bread crumbs on the nose and noticeably dry on the tongue. Nice finish. Solid, but nothing great and not very complex.

On tap at capitol beer and tap room. Taste is big in the Malts with a slight hop balance. Nice easy drinking beer.
