Ten different malts and six different hops (Ahtanum, Cluster, and Spalt to name a few) combine to create this full-flavored, small beer. Even Keel features a silky malt backbone and a bright hop flavor and aroma that come from the late kettle additions and dry hopping with 1.5 pounds per barrel. Even more layers of flavor are created with fermentation being done by two strains of yeast. This session ale is herbaceous with additional citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. The orange to copper hue draws you in and the low alcohol volume keeps you coming back for more.

Not bad for a session ipanation@yahoo.com, thought I’m not a fan of the style. Fairly fresh.

Easily the best session I’ve had. Drought. Amber, decent head. Floral sweet on the nose, tropical fruit and hops throughout. I was amazed that they crammed so much into 3.8%... Nothing seemed subdued.

Beautiful red amber. Aroma is of fruits and hops. Citrus and a hint of peaches (oddly enough). Taste is beautifully balanced floral hops and malt. Finishes reasonably short and smooth. Very sessionable. *12 oz can into pint glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can at Hopyard, may 21st 2016. Clear golden body with a huge white head. Aroma is malty with mild citrussy hops. Taste is sweet, light grass and mango hoppiness, with a bitter weak fruity finish. Can’t expect a big fat ipa at this strength, but it does get a little boring

12 oz.can. Clear amber with almost a film of lasting bubbles. Aroma is resin, earthy leaf, orange zest, toasted pecan and a bit of toffee. Flavor is a very nice mix of the same, with a steady drying undercurrent of resin and a bit of white pepper. Body is more light than medium and has a bit too much fizz, but offers a very sessionable dry-leaning balance.
