Ten different malts and six different hops (Ahtanum, Cluster, and Spalt to name a few) combine to create this full-flavored, small beer. Even Keel features a silky malt backbone and a bright hop flavor and aroma that come from the late kettle additions and dry hopping with 1.5 pounds per barrel. Even more layers of flavor are created with fermentation being done by two strains of yeast. This session ale is herbaceous with additional citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. The orange to copper hue draws you in and the low alcohol volume keeps you coming back for more.

On tap at Taco Mac- Cumming. Pours a translucent copper with a thick white head. Nice sticky lacing. Aroma of citrus rinds and resin. Nice light bitterness. Not harsh at all. Citrus rinds and resin dominate the palate. An awesome session IPA!

Tasty session ipa, albeit with maybe a touch too many hops. Some orange notes happen early on, but then the beer slides into a long, bitter finish that swallows much of the flavor. Itís still pretty flavorful for under 4%.

355ml can from Beer Culture, New York

Pours clear golden with a smooth white head. Aroma of pure fresh hops, grapefruit, lemon, pine and citrus. Taste is smooth, citrusy and piney with loads of fresh juicy hoppiness. Finish is watery, hoppy and fruity with some citrus and pine. Quaffable and hoppy session IPA, although a bit light bodied and watery.

12 oz. can, consumed on 1-11-15. Pours a nice, clear bronze with moderate effervescence and a large amount of uneven, cream-colored head. Produces good lacing. Looks good. Nice, pleasant, floral, dry hoppiness in the aroma. Subtle yet surprisingly strong but quite nice smell features scents of pine resin and cedar. Pleasant, hoppy flavor is floral and dry. The flavor largely matches the aroma, though itís not quite as strong. Nice, dry, dirt-like aftertaste. Light body. Soft in the palate. Insubstantial palate effects. Overall, this is a one-dimensional beer, but it is good in that one dimension. Really well done. This is exactly what a beer of this style should be. Itís aromatic, flavorful, and drinkable, and itís the best session IPA Iíve had. This is a very well done, professional effort by a darn good brewery.

3.8% 605 yen can from Tsutaya Saketen drunk at the airport. It pours a deep gold with a thick fluffy off white head. The nose is a great hoppy pine. Medium bodied with a smooth chewy mouthfeel. The taste is green piney hops though this has been in my bag all day so I doubt I am at the correct serving temperature. For those who like piney hop notes this is the perfect session IPA, myself I prefer fruity hops. Still a damn good session IPA with a satisfying body and good flavor not an easy trick for low ABV beers.

Can 355ml. Pours amber with high frothy light-beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, flowers, malt, pine, tropical fruits. Taste is of bitterness, citrus, tropical fruits, malt, very slight earth, some acid. Palate: Light-medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Quite good. Tasty. I was a bit set back by the color, but this is well balanced.

Pours a clear golden amber color with white head. Light pine, some citrus, grapefruit specifically, and floral notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light on the palate. Finishes with small amounts of hop resin. Decent session IPA.
