COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ten different malts and six different hops (Ahtanum, Cluster, and Spalt to name a few) combine to create this full-flavored, small beer. Even Keel features a silky malt backbone and a bright hop flavor and aroma that come from the late kettle additions and dry hopping with 1.5 pounds per barrel. Even more layers of flavor are created with fermentation being done by two strains of yeast. This session ale is herbaceous with additional citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. The orange to copper hue draws you in and the low alcohol volume keeps you coming back for more.

Draught. Pours a very clear amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose is nicely floral with some slight pine and slight pepper elements to it; awesome! Taste is light and clean, very fresh, and not too bitter. Easy drink.

Big hop aroma. All kinds of citrus going on. Full copper color. White head settles to a thick ring. Flavor is a hop bomb with citrus and soda.

Un nez splendide aussi puissant que leur ipa. Une charge juteuse plus qu’intéressante, amertume moyenne, croustillance extrême avec un certain sucre résiduel qui disparait totalement au final.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2015 12 oz. can from Ales Unlimited. Hazy orange colored body with an off-white head. Nose of light floral hops and grapefruit. Taste of grapefruit citrus on a smooth malt base with a bit of cracker and cereal. Not piney. Well balanced. Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation and mild bitterness. Everything a session IPA should be; light, tasty, refreshing and drinkable.

Copper color with a medium head. Very strong pine and tangerine aroma. Moderate bitterness. Piney and abrassive. Dry maltiness.

Can poured a clear golden hue w/ a large foamy off-white head and minor lacing. Huge citrus and floral hop aromas. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a bold bitter finish. Tastes are grassy hop, grapefruit and light bread. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a nice clear gold with massive, pillowy off-white head that lasts forever and leaves good lacing. Aroma is balanced hops, primarily citrus, plenty of pine, some floral and herbal to complement. Taste is very full-flavored for a low ABV beer. Stays light and citrusy with hints of lemon and lime, adding a smooth malt backbone that avoids the cereal, grainy, corny flavors that other light beers have. Lots of flavor here. I’d like to try this against Stone’s Go To IPA on a hot summer day. This would be a good one - maybe best ice cold if slamming a few on a hot day.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2006 Hell yeah. I like this stuff. The first time I had it was at O’Briens and that followed a strong belgian, so I don’t think those were the right conditions to accurately come to judgement. Had some down at the brewmart today and it was delicious. How do you get such a big body out of a beer with such little alcohol. Trade secrets! Anyway, I’d drink this stuff religiously if they would bottle it. It’s like a safe version of North Star.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2008 Taster at Ballast Point/Home Brew Mart. Nice light drinkable brew. Not much to say other than its a definite session beer that has some decent flavor. Great Session beer.

Draft at RBSG. Pours a golden amber with a dissipating white head. Great floral hop aroma. Light to medium bodied. Flavor of pale malts and dry biscuit, countered by a nice aggressive citrus and spicy bitterness. Finish is grassy, semi dry and hoppy. Great concept and great beer.
