COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ten different malts and six different hops (Ahtanum, Cluster, and Spalt to name a few) combine to create this full-flavored, small beer. Even Keel features a silky malt backbone and a bright hop flavor and aroma that come from the late kettle additions and dry hopping with 1.5 pounds per barrel. Even more layers of flavor are created with fermentation being done by two strains of yeast. This session ale is herbaceous with additional citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. The orange to copper hue draws you in and the low alcohol volume keeps you coming back for more.

tap. aroma of clean dank citrusy hops with a pleasant tropical fruit tangerine sweetness to round things out. nice balance. not too bitter, not too sweet. worked pretty well. not terribly potent aroma, but very easy to drink. good job at the session hoppy pale ale style.

Can. Bright orange. Grassy citrus hops , light, crisp, refreshing. Mouthfeel is a little too thin and watery. This isn’t the greatest session ipa but, I could definitely see drinking a bunch of these on a summer day. Pretty good

Bottle. Dark clear gold with thin white head. Aroma is citrusy hops. Taste follows and adds a tea like quality. Thin mouthfeel, moderate carb and quick finish. Ok.

Tap@bishops, gamla. Amber. Real nice fruity hoppy nose. Grapefruit, caramels, peaches. Soft nice body. Doesn’t feel watery, but light though. Hoppy lingering finish. Good session ipa. Understandably a bit thin in the middle, but very enjoyable still.

Tap@ bishops arms, gamla stan, Stockholm. Mahogany color, thick white head. Citrusy fruity hoppy aroma, some sweetness, floral notes. Flavor has grapefruit, blood orange, juicy as hell. Lovely session IPA. Could drink this every day. More please.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2014 Sampled at ABR. Clear orange pour. Mild session IPA. Citrus. Brilliantly crafted in its style. Liked this one.

12 oz. can. Nice grassy/floral/pine hop aroma from the pour. Clear medium yellow with a frothy white head. There’s a bit of herbal grassiness along with a grapefruit citrus and pith hop bitterness in the flavor. Nice smooth biscuity malt body to compliment but not overpower the bitter bite. The body is a bit watery but that’s probably the curse of a lighter session beer. Leaves behind a nice spicy bitterness with a bit of creamy, woody malt. Nice session IPA.

New Beer Distributors, NYC can ($2): Pours light copper with a frothy white head. Aroma is grapefruit, lemon, and pine with light malt backbone. Taste is lightly bitter hops. Body is a little on the watery side. This is very light even for this characteristically light style. Refreshing and even a little sweet. It is kind of what I was looking for.

I was disappointed with this one. Had a tuna fishing trip out of San Diego, but this just seemed too watered down surprisingly, even for the "style" of session IPA. I mean, it did taste like a light IPA as opposed to an American pale, but the flavor just didn’t work for me.

Beautiful citrus grapefruit hop aroma. Taste is not as hoppy as the smell, but still there. Bitter hop finish. Citrus hops not in the flavor that much. Nice malty backbone. Very good session ipa. Very balanced and flavorful. For the price I would probably just get sculpin. Has sculpin hop aromas but the citrus hops don't come through in the flavor like in sculpin. But still a good session ipa. Maybe slightly too piney finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"Session" pale ale (SD session beer is what they call it). Solid aromatics, abounding in citrus. Big nose, semi sweet adequately bitter flavor. Pretty easy going.
