33cl can at the 2nd Annual Midlands tasting on 27th June 2015: cheers Martin. Golden pour with a good white topping. Tropical fruits in the aroma of this hoppy brew, mildly citrusy in the taste: nice blend and proof American brewers can produce a decent beer without too much alcohol in the brew.

Can share round at Richy’s. Clear gold. Film of white head. Toffee. Orange hop. Grapefruit. Pineapple. Taste is light, piny bitter. Crisp, zingy stuff. Lacked oomph at this stage of day, though.

Clear, golden pour with a rocky, white head. The aroma has a lot of floral hops. It has light, thin body with lively carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter with a quick finish.

12 oz can, PDT June 2, a little over three weeks ago is all!- Pours clear old golden with a large white head that reduces leaving cobwebby lace and a small blanket. Aroma is hops man, hops, slightly dank, citrusy, pine, light caramel malts. The taste is extremely hop forward, vegetal which i don’t mind too much, sweet caramel malt. This is a balanced session IPA, aggressive hop profile, but the type of malt they used combats that. Not my favorite Session IPA, i usually prefer mine with lighter malts, and cleaner hops. Half way through my impressions of this beer only grew as i drank it, the strong vegetal notes have seemed to have faded leaving a nice very lemony citrus hop punch with some more or less clean malt. Originally i was going to give this a 3.6, but upping my overall by one and taste by one leaving a 3.8.

Can: Strong pine needle nose with pencil shavings also prominent, dandelions. Crystal clear amber, thick yellow head, good lacing. Grass and dandelions, kind of buttery, not really diacetyl, more like buttercups. Light body, easy carbonation. One of the better session IPAs available.

Can. Pale amber with an inch of loosish white head that sticks around. Aroma of grapefruit, passionfruit, peach, crackers. 7 Light bodied, really nothing in the middle. A little sweetness with crackers and slight toast. A hint of butterscotch - maybe an attempt to fill things out a bit? Light tropical notes, more grapefruit and some lemon. Dry with moderate bitterness at the end. Sure, the alcohol is lowish but I couldn’t drink several pints of this. OK dust-cutter.

Type: 12-oz. can
Glass: Figueroa Mountain pint glass
From: Barons Market in Alpine, Calif.
Purchased: June 19, 2015
Consumed: June 20, 2015
Misc.: Born on April 2, 2015
Poured a honey, pale, mostly clear color with three fingers of khaki-white, frothy head. A good amount of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Below average lacing on the sides of the glass. Below average retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.63)
Smelled sharp Citra notes up front, mainly grapefruit and nectarine rind. Also caramel, peppery spices, floral, tropical, light mango, rye and buttery malts late. (Smell -
(Smell - 4.25)
Taste was much less flavorful than the nose, unfortunately. Got Citra, rye, iced tea, floral, grapefruit zest, caramel, lemon, light pine and mango rind. (Taste - 3.50)
Light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.50)
This was just an OK session ale. I rated it as a pale ale (according to Beer Advocate), but there are much better options out there. (Overall - 3.50)
