COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lager meets IPA in a winning combination.

Our Fathom India Pale Lager combines time-honored lagering techniques with the hop profiles of a West Coast IPA recipe. The cold-fermenting lager yeast provides a clean base that allows the citrus and pine aromas from the hops to really shine. The result is a gold medal beer with a refreshing, easy drinking character and just the right amount of depth.

Poured into a taster showing neon yellow with a half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of clean pine and citrus with moderate intensity. The palate is light bodied, smooth, and well carbonated. The first impression shows somewhat restrained but clean citrus with a constant malty lager note underneath. The finish shows the same citrus with a clean pilsner/lager bitterness. Overall what I expect to find in a clean IPL!

Pours in a deep golden color with a big white head. Aroma of sweet malt, hop, fruitiness, floral note and a touch of citrus. Mild carbonated and the taste palette consists of malt, floral hop, grass notes and fruits. A nice beer, but nothing special.

On tap at Churchkey. Nice golden body with huge head. Nose of IPA with hops but also nice malty sides to it. Taste is hops, bitter and citrus and then more caramel and toasty flavours. Really well done. Sticky finish.

355 ml can. Enjoyed at San Diego, CA. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a small head. Aroma of grainy malts, some floral notes and fruitiness. Flavour of crisp floral bitterness, grains, alcohol, dried fruits, alcohol and white bread. Medium bodied. Rather dry finish.

Six pack of cans. Pours out a deep golden color with a frothy white head. Lots of tiny bubbles. Big nose of pine, burnt rubber and sweet malts. Flavor has lots of bitter pine, a little citrus and more burnt rubber, followed by a long honey sweet sticky bitter finish. Very tasty, but not all that refreshing and not that refined. Can’t believe I paid $14 for this six pack too!

From the can. Golden clear pour, with a fluffy white head. Aroma of grassy, fruity hops, slight malty backbone with dry finish. No detection of alcohol, easy drinking, and taste fresh. Enjoyable brew, although price is a little steep. Overall, would recommend to others, even not so crafty beer drinkers.

355 ml. can from Systembolaget. Deep golden colour with a thin, white head. Good looking. Fruity aroma with grasses, spicy hints, caramel malts, citrus and grape. Taste is bitter. Full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Lasting dry and bitter finish with citrus fruits and pines. Excellent, big, fat Lager.

Nice golden colour white foam. Nose is really hoppy and splendid, piney, some citrus but also some alcohol pushing through. Taste is lightly sweet, medium in bitterness, body is light-medium. WHat is positive with this lager is that it gives room for the hops although the rather light body is the cause that there is some alcoholic tones pushing through in the very end that reminds me of the last part of a normal lager that has been in the glass for too long time. Still overall, top notch beer and definitely one of the best lagers I’ve tried!
